I'm afraid your Eclipse, Novas, and Forerunners mean nothing. If you don't have the skill to back up the rank, I'm afraid you don't deserve it.
Rank means nothing. Enjoy you credit hording.

So recently I downloaded about seven maps and game types to my Halo: Reach. After downloading all the maps once, I check out a single map on Custom Games.

Shortly after ending that game, the downloads started all over again and I found myself with two of each map. I deleted the duplicates, did another game and had the same problem.

I can't get the downloads to stop. After every game they reset and give me a new set of maps. Any way to stop this aside from cancelling at the end of every game?

And yes, I've power cycled my Xbox.

Update: Now the downloads seem to happy every five minutes just sitting in the lobby... Help, someone!

Xbox Ambassador: Feel free to ask any questions you might have about a Xbox issue in a PM to me. I may be able to help!

Try going to the dashboard > My Xbox > System Settings > Memory > Games > Halo: Reach.

Then go to the maps/gametypes you downloaded "Delete" them, and hopefully that will solve your issue! :)

Sadly no... I tried this like you said and they continue to download every time I sign into Reach.

Try clearing your cache..... and posting in the xbox.com forums.

this may be an absurd solution, but it could work:
go to your reach profile, then click download history on the sidebar under recommeded files in the file share group.
and click download for the maps again.

so just maybe, it will kinda like, figure out you want to download more maps, and then after it downloads it will get cleared.

after reading the page. DUH!!!
click clear download queue

Yes, "Clear download queue" on your download history on bungie.net is what you're looking for.

@Achronos I have the same problem and I tried your suggestion and it continues. so you know I deleted all the original files, from the one saved to my system all copies, to all the ones saved on my file share and it continues to download every time I leave a game or restart my system.

There are less than 2000 pandas alive in the wild. Donate to the San Diego Zoo to keep their pandas provided with food and what they need to survive at http://www.sandiegozoo.org/adopt/index.html

If clearing the download que doesn't work I would delete the xbox's cache. I don't remember how, but I'm sure you could easily find it online. It's some button combination.

Looks like something else is at work (based on this and other threads). We've passed the information on to 343i (you may also want to post in their forums and/or call Xbox Live Tech support) to let them know they have a problem, and they're looking into it.

Mine seems to be all set now, it worked fine after yesterday afternoon and has been fine ever since. Hope everyone else is all set too!
