Marty has been suggested as the new CEO for Apple. And if he accepted, he'd be making less than he is now.

I'd hope so. Jobs' annual salary was only a dollar.

We believe that the universe is unbounded: this is not the same as infinite: the 2-D surface of a sphere, wrapped around a 3rd dimension, has a finite size, but has no end. If you start off in a given direction on the surface of a sphere, you could return to your start point without having to turn around -- you simply go all the way around. But wouldn't that mean the universe has an escape velocity like the earth?

They do okay, not great. Urk's jet is only a Gulfstream IV, and Achronos's house is a mediocre 24,000 square feet.

I was laughing at poor stosh -- he only has two bodyguards. LOL!

Pfft, only because Stosh doesn't need more than two bodyguards.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Unfortunately that's the average. Expect to be disappointed.

I know that an entry level student (me) with a BS degree makes around 50-60k. I'm not sure about Bungie. Oh btw Bungie, I'll be seeing you in four years.

Looks benign enough until the truth comes out and you are driving the 2016 concept model that gets 60mpg, 400 bhp, with 425 ft lbs of torque....

I'm sure that they aren't rich, but I'm sure that they aren't poor. Hundreds of people work at Bungie, so they all don't get paid millions.

Is 115k good across in the US? It is in Britain but I have no idea what the cost of living is in America.

Generally, people don't go into the games industry for the money. It can be a good living, but on average people in the games industry make a little less than their equivalents elsewhere. Of course, Bungie isn't average. But my base salary would probably be higher if I was usability testing accounting software.

Maybe it's just my ineptitude in the subject of computer programming and the like but what do you mean by "if I was usability testing accounting software". Sorry if it's a typo but if it's an actual thing I have no idea what that means...

The one that looks like a space ship?
It's the only one to get.

How much variation is there in salaries? Does a programmer make more than a concept artist or whatever?

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I found this for averages in the entire industry. I have no clue how accurate this is.

Riverside23: For all the women of the group, if you've got a real man at least let him have his big piece of chicken.

WhtButterflyLiz: lol. Bring home bigger chikkinz, then, real man!!!

DEATHPIMP72: *throws pterodactyl on table*
Suck it JoeSki!!!

Depends on the financial and incorporation structure. They sure made someone a lot of money. Likely Microsoft, who bought low, earned equity, and sold high.

He is a composer. I would assume that the musician is a studio musician someone brought in.

I would think Marty's income is high anyways. He wrote the Flintstones Kid's jingle, Mr. Clean jingle(?), and a GAP(?) jingle. Probably more.

The important things you have to know about what he was saying are that:

1. Usability testing is needed for all kinds of products and software.

2. Usability testing entertainment software pays significantly less than usability testing business software.

That's true for a lot of jobs that are needed in both gaming and elsewhere, unfortunately! But that's all he was getting at.
