If you want to tell me I'm wrong, please prepare to tell me with logic.

Why is it being endorsed as one?

Shouldn't Bungie be supporting independent PC or XBLA developers, something like that?

Furthermore, who here has actually played this game? Who here actually has an iPad?

They call me The Raptor due to my extreme interest in dinosaurs specifically velociraptor.

One can say that the PC is technically not a gaming system but it can be used as one.

I played it and I can confirm that it is, in fact, a game. A game that you can play on the iPad.

Furthermore, I'm not wearing pants.

You can also play a game on a watch sometimes. That's beside the point.

You can play games on a table. A table is not a game.

My move?

You just justified my original point Urk.

You're only supposed to eat a gram of the psilocybin mushrooms Urk, they take about four hours to work. How many did you have?

You have a lot of questions. I'm going to assume that they're all hypothetical.

You'd be making a fatal assumption then.

This game, however, looks like it will be very interesting to play on my 4 day road trip. Plus it's free. Also, it seems like a unique experience that IPad users and, hopefully, mobile device users can enjoy.

The terror has spoken.

Off topic, I just downloaded Crimson. Time to see what it's made of.

Later, forum peeps.

Scratch that. I just STARTED the download for Crimson. Load time is gonna be hell.

Complain about a FREE game?

Wow...

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Free =/= Deserving of respect

Besides, it isn't the game specifically that I'm talking about here.

  • 08.31.2011 10:33 PM PDT

They endorse it as such because they can no other reasoning other than that.

  • 08.31.2011 10:34 PM PDT

I have an iPad, and I spend more time playing games on it then I do playing games on my Netflix machine, wait, no, I mean my Xbox 360.

Also, as a side lint, the iPad has had games made by actual companies. Take epic games for example. They made Infinity Blade for iPad at first, and used unreal engine to run it, and it was a decent game.

Your argument is skeptical at best. I have spoken aaaaagain.

My home probably has upwards of a dozen Netflix machines. Somebody should develop a game for Netflix.

Who's asking you to respect it?

And then clearly you are violating forum rules, no?

I have Crimson - I just finished playing it for 20 minutes. What you apparently fail to realize is that this game isn't intended to be a "sit down and game for hours on end" game like some console games are... It's a FUN time waster.

Urban, your lucky. My download has taken literally 15 minutes and isn't even halfway done yet.

"complaining about a FREE game" implies that inherently because it's free I have no right to complain about it. This is the common perception with people when it comes to art forms. I think that's bull-blam!-.

I didn't fail to realize jack -blam!-. I'm just pointing out that I believe Bungie should support developers for real, legitimate gaming platforms.

Mobile/portable devices have become legitimate gaming platforms. Go take a look in the games section of the app store and tell me that those aren't legitimate games.

Exactly - Bungie isn't exactly a slouch when it comes to games...

Also - The argument is still valid - complaining about a free game doesn't get you anywhere. You have the right to complain, but your merits would be questionable at best. You didn't lose anything in return (other than a few minutes - which you'll probably tell me is worth money...) an therefore you are only complaining to yourself.

If I give you an apple, and you don't like the apple - fine, toss it away (delete the app...).

If I SELL you an apple, and you don't like it - I'll show you the fine print saying that it's not my fault.

If I SELL you an apple, and it's completely moldy with worms and other unmentionables, then you can complain.

This is the part where you complain about my analogy. I'll respond to that now: Too bad.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

Then why is there thousands of games for the iPad in the app store? It's definitely a gaming platform.

Urk is still right, you can play a board game on a table, but you could play a board game on just about anything, like the top of a refridgerator. That doesn't make a refridgerator a gaming platform

Technically, a watch could be a game platform (really depends on how you define a platform). If you can make a video game using the hardware of a watch, it can be a gaming platform.

Considering you don't need a table to play a board game, I wouldn't consider a table a game platform. However, you do need computer hardware to play a video game. So technically, any computer hardware used to play a video game could be a gaming platform. Including a watch.
