"I'm afraid of the man I'll become if I lay my life down for the people I don't even care for"

Before, we did not know squat about the forerunners, but know they seem like relatively fleshed out characters....

I was just thinking that the Precursors, as curious as I may be, should be left shrouded in mystery, like how the forerunners were pre-cryptum/ Halo CEA terminals/ Halo 4 tidbits.

Personally I missed members of the community, like Snakie and Augustus, tearing apart all the evidence they could find of the Forerunners and their relations to make threads/theories that actually used up more than one post!!!

I'd like that to happen with the Precursors... For it to be more of an investigation. This forum has seemed to lost it's touch :( Or maybe it's just me....

So what are you're thoughts on this? Explain them in detail in well established canon? Or leave it up to investigation?

"And so here at the end of my life, I do once again betray a former master. The path ahead is fraught with peril. But I will do all I can to keep it stable - keep you safe. I'm not so foolish to think this will absolve me of my sins. One life hardly balances billions. But I would have my masters know that I have changed. And you shall be my example."

Cryptum's two sequels and the Reclaimer Trilogy will no doubt shed light on the precursors. For now, we can still tear apart any evidence we can find to speculate/form theories. Thing is, we have next to no evidence so we can just wait and see till official xbox magazine comes out or glasslands is released or even for the CEA terminals.

When is OXM's 33 page Halo blow out (OMG!) to be released, anyway?

It was announced during 343i's weekly update, or Halo Bulletin, a week or so ago.

The entire Halo universe was cooler to me, pre-Cryptum. Not that it's a bad book or that the series shouldn't continue, just that some of the more revealing parts were more funny than deep. The Flood hitching a ride on space pets, for example.

Its not as if that scene was supposed to be deep though. But if you think about it, it makes sense. We'd be less likely to try and use the powder on ourselves; animals, on the other hand, are expendable. They also happened to be favored by humans, the same humans the Flood could use to try and take over. Consistent proximity to the humans made the Feru perfect hosts to eventually jump ship into human genes.

Though when you break it down, one can easily imagine a pet store owner gettig blamed for the destruction of everything ever.

there are 3 bits to this blowout. One on CEA, one on master chief "the man behind the mask" and the final one on Halo 4.
BS angel from 343i said this is one issue you would definitely wanna pick up :)

It'll be out sometime in September, but on average what day of a month do OXM issues get released in stores?

Not sure, I have a subscription and I don't really pay attention to the dates.

Its a damn good thing I renewed. I missed the last Halo OXM.
