I recognize it as one I see a lot but I don't see it enough to associate it with you automatically I'm afraid.

Okay, I will now be using a signature.

I don't think it really says who you are. It's not personalized enough. Seems a bit generic for a signature.

I am a Floodian

It's much harder now that people have coup, and change theirs ever month or so, but that used to be the main way I recognized members.

Dead Mans Hand-Always Loaded.

I WAS SOCK

I remember quite a few individuals by their avatar, and I'm told mine is pretty memorable as well.

As in mine is easy to remember? Sorry, just not sure what you meant really.

Astronomy Picture of the Day!

I totally go by avatar recognition first, then by username and title bar second if I don't know the person or if they have a common avatar. I prefer game emblem / player model avatars because it makes it easier and quicker for me to recognize someone simply because they are much more personalized.

"There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe."

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'd get that confused with someone else's, too.

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

In the community forums I do. Only the people that have avatars that aren't used a lot, or if they post a lot. I recognize people by their avatar if they use a Halo 2 avatar. No two people have the same one. I think.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Yours is very easy to remember.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Alot of people change it up every so often, so i have a hard time.

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I can recognize a few by their avatars and it makes scanning through a thread easier; I know this person generally have good input while this other guy is just an asshat.

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

Usually by name because I know some people like to change them, but there are some I know by avatar. That's why I try to change mine as little as possible.

  • 09.01.2011 3:51 PM PDT

Depends if im in a big discussion like you said and some other people are then yes i do tend to just read what they say since i recognise there avatar and pretty much ignore the newer posters i think it's just habbit.
