Should we just PM the moderators with the URL once spam is found, until the New Hotness comes?

  • 09.09.2004 10:51 AM PDT

Ach! Was ist los?

I think we'll have to.

We'll see if there is any way to improve a reporting system at the Chapter of HFCS. But until then, just PM us. Try pming two just to make sure, some of us are busy and don't have as much time to spend on the forums.

Would it be acceptable to PM ALL of the moderators just to be extra sure that the thread is noticed or would that be spamming?

Well I've PMed 2 mods so far... and nothing has been done. The Halo Movie Thread is out of control. They are flaming (me), spamming, bumping and still advertising their "cause" in other peoples threads.

It's also a good idea to PM the mods that are actually currently on first. You'll probably get the quickest repose that way... :)

Ach! Was ist los?

I would if I knew where the schedule was... Is it in HFCS?

--Mr. Smith would glady moderate the entire forum, just to get this mess under control.

PMed you Sigma and HFCS is down isn't it? Now that the Seventh Column is dead...

EDIT- Any mod reading this thread should proceed to the Halo Movie Thread in the Underground to sort out it's issues.

Forum Tutorials --- WATCH THEM AND LEARN

Is the new hotness going to have a little php tool bar on the page, so we can see which mod is online? That would make things a hela lot easier. Trying to find/remember a chapter you can't be a member of really is annoying.

Hm...that's a great idea...now if I worked on the Bungie.net upgrade team...

Maybe we can suggest a feature in our profiles that tells us where we are at, or if we're even online? Something like the old profiles that used to tell you if the person was online or not, catch my drift?

...we would all be doomed.

I think I know what goes in my signature.

If you worked on the upgrade, you'd probably end up banning yourself by accident...

That would mean going to every mod's profile just for a look, but hey, it's better than what we've got now.

But you should know if you're spamming or not.

Possibly the biggest problem is terminology; when I first came I had no experience in other forums, and didn't know what spamming, bumping or flaming was. Maybe a definition should be included in the rules.

That's the joy of Bungie! They get people's attention with the fun and carnage and the next thing you know, you're talking with people about superstring theory and the closure of the Universe!

The good thing about complex words is that spammers have a tendency to be extremely stupid, and so have no response to them.
