@Geegs30

As you've all probably noticed, we have a new batch of avatars at our disposal as of today, and they're all Crimson related.

It's to my understanding that all of the recently added avatars were not community made. I was just wondering if this was the unofficial go ahead from the webteam for us community members to start making and submitting Crimson avatars for use on the site.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Yes, I am very aware that even accepting regular avatars would be nice. As a longtime member of the premiere avatar creating group here on Bungie.net, not having regular avatar updates really sucks.

EDIT 2: PMs sent to Stosh and Achronos. Lets hope they don't think it's spam.

I'm a college dropout.

I think it'd be cool for him to accept avatars in general..

If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Thanks for filling us in Geegs; I think I found my new favorite. I would imagine they'd accept some Crimson avtars since there's some up - it only seems logical.

It would be cool if Stosh accepted Bungie community related avatars and Crimson avatars.

Thus I refute thee

Instead of having to submit avatars how about the good ol fashion having your own by uploading it yourself like many of thousands of forums that allow you to have your own avatar = win, happiness forever.....

How would it create abuse, the mods are on here most of the time anyway so anyone with a bad one could be warned or before uploading t there being a warning to let you know any bad ones will result in ban or something

People already complain about the mods not being omnipresent here on the forums to ban people. You want to add even more to their plate? They already have one report queue for posts/threads that violate the rules, this would require another report button just for people's avatars. Way too much trouble for its worth.

The mods aren't on here all the time. This is why we have coup (btw coup sux). If you want your own, use teh coup. If not want coup, you don't get your own.

To their plate....lol

Have you seen the list for all the ninjas here on Bungie and even if say a faction don't browse around on here then they could get some more ninjas, there are plenty of well represented people on here who could be a ninja, I'm not implying me I would be a dreadful ninja but others on here are worthy of this

No matter how many ninjas we have, one of their jobs shouldn't be to accept or disapprove people's avatars. Bungie gives us plenty of options, and even the capabilities of making a unique avatar by using your Halo 3 or Reach emblem.
