I'm seeing a lot of "what if?" statements here.

True, and the same could be said for the last precursor lying about being the last of his species...

He has nothing to gain or lose by lying about being the last of his species, the Forerunners had a lot to lose if the Flood found out where they went.

What if the precursor is in a war with the foerunners? Maybe thats why he is covering for the other precursor's so masterchief dosen;t join forerunners and kill all precursor.

1: I did say they could be allies

2: Give me proof there are not any?

3: So, the forerunners were "Wiped out" yet some have still survived and will probably appear in Halo 4? Can the same not happen for the precursors, Locked away in that planet at war?

2. YOU claimed they were Precursor ships, the burden of proof is on YOU.

3. Because the only Precursor we've seen has said he was the last Precursor.

2: I can claim whatever i like, its my opinion deal with it.

3: So the he knows when every precursor is dead? Correct me if i'm wrong 343 claimed his Makers were killed when they fired the rings, Hand the precursors have been inside the planet since before the war was over... There are many ways its possible.

Referring to number 1, this is not an opinion if it can be proven wrong. Precursor matrerial has a strongly crystaline appearance to it. I don't recall any of the ships in the concept art looking like diamond.

1.) fair enough.

2.) No, you claimed it first. Ergo, the burden of proof is on you. Provide us links or we'll call it bull-blam!-.

3.) What? Have you ever read Cryptum...? There is the evidence that shows that Forerunners are not extinct. They simply took from the galaxy. Precursors were wiped out, leaving only one left. Again, please read Cryptum.

The thought that the Chief could fight the Precursor species is ludicrous. Hell, the thought he can fight the Forerunners is just as well rediculous. Every fight would be a boss battle, an unwinnable one at that.

Dead or not, the Precursors are no longer around. The terminals strongly imply they partook on the Great Journey, with the Primordial being locked up by the Precursors and left behind, possibly because he's evil. The Primordial could gain everything in telling the other races the Forerunners wiped out his kind; demoralization is as strong a weapon as a nuclear bomb.

The alternative--the (potential) truth--is saying the Precursors ascended to a divine state of consciousness, the polar opposite of demoralizing the enemy.

He said "wiped out". Does it ring a bell to you?

Anyway, I'm only correcting him.

I just have a really good memory, its not as if I seeth over every detail. I've only read the terminals once, save for times where I need to pull an exact quote. Cryptum I read only twice. And the rest of that post is logical reasoning, not factual occurences from Halo canon.

And that is also kind of why I'm here, why we're all here: to discuss Halo's story. Why are you here?

As do I. If you read my post more carefully, you may have picked up on the part where I say I have a good memory, and that I don't read Halo-related material 24/7 seething over ever detail. Its just a matter of me reading it and knowing what happens without having to study it. I'd never do that, for I don't have the time.

And I said logical reasoning in trying to reason how the characters would behave and what they'd benefit/lose from such actions.

Then why you are so against the knowledge of Halo? By claiming you have a "life" and as if you are saying obsession on Halo are bad. Do you realize that we love Halo, right? Um... we can put logical reasoning in the Halo because it's hard or realistic sci-fi.

And, why you are here?

But still dont say how they would act. We would never know. You could never guess on some actions they do.

Obsessions in general are usually bad. And I don't think it's an obsession with the video games, but the universe as a whole.

Imagine the Forerunner as a species. What if they like to kill each other and each others allies, just for fun.... You know... like humans.

I would imagine that wouldn't be the case, especially since most of their race died out.

But thank you for another "what if?" scenario.
