True, and the same could be said for the last precursor lying about being the last of his species...
He has nothing to gain or lose by lying about being the last of his species, the Forerunners had a lot to lose if the Flood found out where they went.
What if the precursor is in a war with the foerunners? Maybe thats why he is covering for the other precursor's so masterchief dosen;t join forerunners and kill all precursor.
The thought that the Chief could fight the Precursor species is ludicrous. Hell, the thought he can fight the Forerunners is just as well rediculous. Every fight would be a boss battle, an unwinnable one at that.
Dead or not, the Precursors are no longer around. The terminals strongly imply they partook on the Great Journey, with the Primordial being locked up by the Precursors and left behind, possibly because he's evil. The Primordial could gain everything in telling the other races the Forerunners wiped out his kind; demoralization is as strong a weapon as a nuclear bomb.
The alternative--the (potential) truth--is saying the Precursors ascended to a divine state of consciousness, the polar opposite of demoralizing the enemy.
You know way to much Halo........
I just have a really good memory, its not as if I seeth over every detail. I've only read the terminals once, save for times where I need to pull an exact quote. Cryptum I read only twice. And the rest of that post is logical reasoning, not factual occurences from Halo canon.
And that is also kind of why I'm here, why we're all here: to discuss Halo's story. Why are you here?
