"I'm ready! How 'bout you!" - Spartan A239 Emile
"There will always be a 'Legendary' secret in Halo"
XBL - Death Fighter 6
Halo: Reach - 59/59 Achievements 1400/1400 Points
Halo 3: ODST - 42/47 Achievements 920/1000 Points
Halo 3 - 54/79 Achievements 1310/1750 Points

Hey everybody,
Just wondering but how does my Bungie.net rank go up? At the minute I am a Honorable Member but I see others with things like Exhalted Member. Do these just change over time or do they change with how much you use the forums?
Thanks in advance!

We aren't here to ruin your experience (Well Qbix is).

People should really read and scroll through the forums before asking :/

He's clearly new here, cut him a break. :)

Because the FAQ pinned on the right side of the page with the gold Septagon icon is so hard to find, isn't it?

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

Do not be rude; he does not know the significance of the gold Septagon nor what the pinned topics are, most likely. This is all gibberish, and he gets what "Create New Topic" means, so he used it. Chill out.

If the information he wanted was hidden a few pages back, I'd not say a word. If it was hard to find or if he was a new member who was simply on the wrong forum (say Universe, for example), I'd happily help. But when it's right there in plain view, where it can be seen before you click "New Topic" and where you can see if as you're typing said topic...that's just ridiculous.

Am I the only person here who at least gives the pinned and hot topics a cursory glance before making a new thread?

  • 09.01.2011 6:29 PM PDT

When you first joined? Probably.

Please stop derailing this thread -- it's unnecessary. He made a mistake; we all did when we were new here. My first post was locked because I had no idea where to go or what to do, not to mention what I was allowed to post.

That's not what he said. He said this person may not know what the -blam!- a sticky is. Let alone what the septagon next to a post means.

Not that it would stop all threads from being started, but why don't they sticky the title/prefix thread up top?

I know not every one looks there but some people do.

Most people who need to ask are new and I would assume they wouldn't think to look.
