Real life? What is that?
Graphics are good, gameplay sucks. Overhyped IMO.

Bungie has made an impact on my life. Without Bungie, I wouldn't have gotten into video games.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this. I probably wouldn't have gotten into gaming much, if at all if wasn't for getting a copy of CE with my Xbox back in 2003.

Key

idk... I've only been here a year. And only highly active for about 3 months... But Halo 3 was the first multiplayer game I ever played regularly and I got into a really good community on XBL with it. Until the clans... oh the clans... TROGC was almost the death of me...

Regardless of that dark time in my gaming career, though I haven't been part of the Bungie.net community for long, I'm fairly active in it and despite the fact that a couple of people on here who doubtlessly dislike me mainly for the fact that I'm a pompous ass at times, it's a fun place to be.

It probably got me into FPSs more. And it has made me more creative, somehow.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Yeah. A huge effect on my life. And I dont regret any of it.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Yep. I might want to work there in the future. It would be awesome.

Bungie's games singlehandedly got me into first person shooters. One of my first experiences in a local Halo CE Multiplayer match was the ability to drive a vehicle. I thought it was amazing! (This was in 2003-2004)
Bungie's games also got me interested in developing software. Previously, I was interested in pursuing a career in aerospace engineering. Now, I plan on majoring in computer science. I found the ability to make something do something absolutely incredible. I currently am learning my first programming language (Java) as a senior in high school (in AP Computer Science A). I also plan on learning many other languages, such as C, C++, etc. I would have never considered this as a career possibility if it were not for my love of technology combined with the incredible experience Bungie games have provided me with.

So yes, Bungie has (in an indirect and direct way) impacted my life in a big way.

More than you know.

I met my online friends here though and they are awesome, but this site can really be addicting.

The cure?

Permanent shut down.

I'm a college dropout.

Well, the thing about forums is there are two ways to get noticed.

1. Infamy

2. Posting intellegently so people will actually want to read your posts.

I'd like to think I chose the latter? No wait, I did. At least in comparison to how I originally posted on Bungie.net.

Hi. My name is Sean. I've been a Bungie fan since Halo launched. Some of my interests include games, exercising, laser tag, martial arts, movies, music, sports, and technology. Feel free to contact me at any time.

TL;DR
Has your experience with any of Bungie games or community impacted some part of your life?
Yes.

  • 09.03.2011 11:45 PM PDT

Bungie has done many things to improve my typing skills, my overall enjoyment of video games, and my grammar.

With the creation of the first Halo game, I grew to love and appreciate video games in general. And if you were considerably young like I was when I first played Halo, you really didn't get the unique sense or feeling that you may receive at a later age (depending on how much you "feel" when playing certain video games). When I grew up a bit and replayed Halo: CE, Halo 2, and of course Halo 3, I had a certain feeling that was like (in quote), "Wow. After playing through the campaign of [insert whatever Halo game], I seriously think I'm a true fan of this game and of Bungie."

I mean in all honesty, it's however you want to perceive the video game and how much you feel like you're into it or how much you appreciate all of the different game modes within the game itself. But, back to being on-topic to Bungie, I believe BNet, Halo, and Bungie have all made a pretty considerable impact on my life for the past however many years.

Bungie has made me spend a couple thousand dollars on Halo crap and equipment to enhance my Halo experience. So yeah, Bungie made me broke.

We aren't here to ruin your experience (Well Qbix is).

No. Apart from having all-nighters when Halo 3 came out, I'd say no.

Greetings from Singapore:)

Hell Yes. Halo 2 was the very first video game I ever played, at the age of 5. I became hooked to the series, and am the proud owner of much Halo/Bungie related merchandise.

  • 09.04.2011 7:36 AM PDT

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lube.

Even though Halo didn't bring me into gaming (The SNES did that), or FPS for that matter (Goldeneye 007), it did bring me into the world of Xbox Live (Halo 2), which I continue to play in, even to this day.

So yes, Bungie did make an impact in my life.

Not much, I already had wanted to make games before Halo, Goldeneye 007 impacted my life.
