Its better to burn out than fade away...

nothing comes easy....think about it ;)

im considering purchasing the noble and defiant map packs, but 3 things are holding me against the idea

1. halo CEA is on the verge of being released, lots of people will probably migrate to it

2. im unsure of how many people actually brought the maps, so i am unsure if the playtime on each map will be worth it in the long run

3. i have read tons of opinions, so many mixed opinions its hard to come up with a choice of whether to buy them or not

is it worth it?
any help will be appreciated. thank you in advance!

Wrong forum mate. Next time go to 343i's or the Reach forum.

To answer your question. Halo CEA is using the same multiplayer as Halo Reach. If you choose to buy the Defiant and Noble map packs (Like I did), then you'll definitely be able to play them later on after the release of CEA.

I think they're worth it, and by memory thousands of people bought them - Though at the moment you need to stick to the Premium playlists to really play them often.

This should be posted in the Halo: Reach forums, bro.

Also, I myself have not bought any of the map-packs yet, but will probably end up buying them in the near future, though.

Firstly, wrong forum.

Secondly, what do you mean by migrating? The multiplayer is still Reach Multiplayer. If anything, CEA will bring more players to Reach.

I personally love the map packs. If anything, Breakpoint and Unearthed are worth the purchase of both.
