What did happen to Jun? If there is actual canon on it tell me, if not give me your theory of what you think happened to Jun after he escorted Halsey to CASTLEBASE.

Is that your theory, cause if not it never said he died.

  • 09.02.2011 11:21 PM PDT

I see the assassins have failed

He escorted her of reach to later help the development of the spartan-AI compatibility research that later helped the the development of master chief's armor and story-line.

You'd have to be a complete and utter idiot to think he survived. There was no way off planet and he does not appear with Halsey in any piece of Halo lore. But you know, if you want to believe Jun somehow managed to survive the invading Covenant forces and the subsequent glassing, fine. It's stupid to do so though.

Jun was assigned to escort Halsey. By the end of 2553, Halo canon states that Halsey is alive. It is a high possiblity that Jun stayed with Halsey all those years after the Fall of Reach.

Jun was not WITH Halsey when the remnants of Red Team found her at CASTLE Base. It isn't a high possibility he survived because he didn't.

In the book however, it states that aside from John-117, there are other spartans. These spartans are no longer capable of coming back into contact with humans anymore as they were -SPOILER ALERT- "teleported" to some dimension. That's what i'm figuring. IF i i can remember, i can think Dr. Halsey went with them as well. Its been a while, but i felt i needed to add that.

Your retarded, go play Halo Reach's campaign. Carter orders Jun to escort Halsey in a cut scene. If Halsey got off Reach then Jun could of too.

  • 09.02.2011 11:29 PM PDT

really man u are just one of the many idiots that skipped the every cutscene in the halo reach campaign after the first two missions

It's been awhile since I've read it, but I'm pretty sure First Strike shows how Dr. Halsey gets off Reach.

No where else does in mention Jun's continued existence. It's a pretty safe bet that he died in the glassing of Reach.

Yeah, Halsey left, but Jun didn't. You ever wonder why he is on the Memorial Statue? In the canon, a similar Memorial Statue resides in a rebuilt New Alexandria. He's on it.

Thats not true, He is not the only Spartan left, but 117 is the last to be in UNSC activity.

Unless you count the vast majority of Gamma Company in active duty.

...

Halo: TFoR
Halo: First Strike
Halo: Ghosts of Onyx

All were made by the same author Eric Nylund. First Strike is important because it still deals with Reach, particularly the scenes with Halsey IN CASTLE Base. The recent re-release of it makes no mention of Jun.

Seriously, please try to make sense.

One: The book first stike was not the first book, Halo FALL OF REACH was the first book
Two: The halo books werent even by bungie, half of them werent by the same author so read the books in order and u might understand

Yes, but First Strike explains how Halsey and others were able to get off Reach. Jun was not among them.

I'm 99.9 % positive that Bungie authorized the books, and both TFoR and FS were by the same author.

Edit: I really need to type faster.

How are you so sure that he didn't get off the Planet? No way off? He had a Pelican, those can be space worthy, he could have easily got on one of the Frigates battling and escaped after escorting Halsey.

  • 09.03.2011 12:04 AM PDT

He lived? you happy? he married Kelly and had 90 babies...does that made you feel better and will it make you shut up? (and i mean all you ppl saying the guy is still alive.)

It's not that he didn't have a way off the planet, but the fact that he is not mentioned as being alive in any other piece of canon, that suggests he's dead.

What frigates were left? You seem to underestimate the complete domination in space the Covenant had. He is on the Memorial Statue for a reason.
