This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

A Fistfull of Arrows gives a good insight as to what could have happend, but it's a huge shame that it's not considered canon.

No one knows what happend to Jun. Many speculate he died transporting Halsey.

After CASTLEBASE? He most likely died.

Why can't people just learn that Jun is dead?

Because there is no such official canon explanation to whether he is dead or not. Until we get an official story, he is frozen in time escorting Halsey to Castle Base.

And yet Halsey gets off Reach, and 343 still says First Strike is canon...so looks like ol' Jun died en-route or at CASTLE.

Very possible. It's a shame we don't know what really happened to him.

I don't see why. He never did anything, there was no reason for anyone to care about him, I'm pretty happy he's gone and isn't coming back actually.

He survives the end of the game, not the whole war.

Weren't spartan 3's made first on Onyx after the fall of Reach. That would mean Halo: Reach screwed up the story line really bad, I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that in the Fall of Reach that the Pillar of Autumn wasn't on Reach's surface. Cannon wise, that would mean Jun either didn't exist or wasn't on Reach.

No, Spartan-III Alpha Company was commissioned in 2531.

Where is your official source? Yes it is almost certain he died, but no such event exists.

Jun is not in the books, thus it stands to reason that because he wasn't with Halsey at CASTLE when she escapes with Red Team that he died.

Has anyone read the re-release of TFoR?

Doesn't it mention something about this is the added pages at the end? I want to say that Halsey's ship was captured by a covenant strike team, with one "demon" found aboard and killed and one human being taken hostage? It goes on to mention how the covenant know the human is valuable based on the fact that the UNSC is tracking her location and what not but thats another point.

honestly halo legends doesn't count for crap in Halo canon

Jun's dead, yeah?
Further more, is that supposed to link up to Halo:Legends last story told with the Master Chief rescuing Halsey off a Covenant ship? FULL CIRCLE?

yes ur way wrong. SPARTAN IIIs were made as a ceheaper version of the SPARTAN IIs so that a fighting army could be produced without the UNSC going bankrupt.

Noble Team (excluding Jorge) are all SPARTAN IIIs

Though it's evident you haven't...

No, it says that Halsey was being escorted by a Spartan-II called Sheila (who is mentioned again in Ghosts of Onyx) and was killed by Thel 'Lodamee (the Major from The Package in Legends) during the battle of Miridem in 2544.

honestly halo legends doesn't count for crap in Halo canon

343 disagree.

Jun's dead, yeah?

Yes.

Further more, is that supposed to link up to Halo:Legends last story told with the Master Chief rescuing Halsey off a Covenant ship? FULL CIRCLE?

Yes.
