Subject: Bungie Games are too addicting.

Brefastlunchandinnah.

So far, I've been staying up nonstop until at least 3 a.m. playing Halo. I just bought ODST last night, beat the campaign about four hours ago, and now I'm sitting here, showered up, drinking my coffee, and not an ounce of pure sleep in me.

Can't wait until school starts, then I'll actually be doing THINGS rather than sitting on my butt playing video games all day and night. I bet Bungie can actually sleep now that their precious gem is no longer theirs to keep.

Does anyone know what I'm feeling right now?

I don't understand the point of this. Either way, Bungie is busy making their next title. There is no downtime for them right now.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

If you think Halo is addictive, try Marathon and Myth - both are worth a playthrough at the very least.

I haven't played Marathon in quite some time. Maybe I'll do that later today.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Tried Marathon, too confusing even for the demo, haha. Mideval RTS games aren't really my thing, though. If that's what Myth is, anyway.

ODST had a really good story!

It was aight, way too short, though. I beat it on Heroic in a matter of hours, I'm already through with over half the achievements (too bad I have no friends to do the rest with :(), and just started on Legendary and am already a third done.

If you consider playing so much you only get half of the reccomended ammount of sleep to keep a healthy and active immune and reactive system, not to mention the small ammount of outdoor activity and recreation, yes, it's a very bad thing.

Actually no there probably is due to more time on making their time, with Halo Microsoft pushed them to making another Halo game therefore presenting them with a lack in time for fun and games, where as with the deal with Activision they have more time to create their game

Hi, my name is <censored> and I haven't played Halo in 7 days.

Hi, <censored>.

Marathon is worth many play-throughs. It's, overall, tied for my favorite game series (with Halo, obviously). I may not play it as much anymore, but Marathon was my first game. It got me associated with all the basic necessities of shooters, especially the need for lack of clutter and fluff.

This is why, even though the two series have very similar styles (having as many weapons as you can find, fast fights, enemies with not that amazing AI but definite styles, scripted events, a large focus on story, puzzles), I cannot stand Half-Life. It has what I said above, but having fewer limits on development actually hinders the game. Puzzles become annoying to solve because you miss some trivial element that should be easy, and you have overlong missions of nothingness. That's why Marathon is so much better: You have the good core elements, but the limitations on map-making force the game to be concise, so you're not on a damn waterboat for two hours of face-melting boringness.

A bit of a tangent, but I find it sort of relevant. I'll keep this post on topic by saying the above is why I love Bungie games so much. Very rarely while I'm playing do I feel like I want to stop. In many games, a mission or whatever will drag on so much that I just have to stop. Bungie games have wonderful flow.

Abuse was published by Bungie, not made by them. It's a lame game anyway.
