I feel like Noble team would just try to have a competition to see who could out-do each others crappy deaths. Blue Team would just watch.

Or they would look at some of the deaths of the members of Red Team who died when they impacted reach's surface and go, "Wow, at least we did something."

Spartan 2s have better training, better augmentations, better armor, better shields.

  • 09.04.2011 1:08 PM PDT

also remember spartans have better weapons.

Halo CE pistol > halo reach pistol

Battle rifle > DMR

MA5B > MA37

1. Spartan-IIIs were trained by the same CO AND a Spartan-II. Better training is debatable.

2. Their augmentations are the same.

3/4. Sure, but both Noble and Blue Team have the same armor.

1. Wrong it was stated clearly that spartan 2s had better training.

2. Also stated that Spartan 3s were smaller and weaker due to worse augmentations

3/4. Nope try again. The armor in halo 1 2 and 3 is much stronger

On a much smaller scale, however. The augmentations are designed to have the same effect, but S-IIIs do not recieve things like carbide ceramic ossification to regraft their bones and make them almost unbreakable. CHRYSANTHERMUM used chemical augmentations, cheaper than the biological ones that S-IIs had.

Yeah, I shouldn't say THE same, but very similar. Still, it isn't going to give the average S-II any more of an advantage.

dude yes it is. Did you see how easy it is to break a spartan 2s neck?? Or stab a knife through their armour???

They are inferior in every aspect.

You do realize being a blind fanboy doesn't make you a real Halo fan right?

No I'm not blind I gave excelent reasons why master chief would win. You probably get all your information from halo wiki, only started plaining at halo reach, and never read a book.

Wow, you really suck at making assumptions. Everything you said is wrong. It's kinda funny actually.

Blue Team, hands down. I am also pretty sure that six people don't know what and who make up the Blue Team...

Oh I'm more than aware of who makes up Blue Team. That said, it wouldn't be as easy fight.

6 Spartan-IIs against 5 S-IIIs and 1 S-II.

Doesn't seem too difficult, especially considering Noble Team haven't really done anything impressive. Take Linda, for example, who skiped out 6 Banshee pilots with one hand whilst upside down and shot two people so fast that John didn't know which she'd targeted first. Okay, so what does Jun have on her?

Then there's Kelly who can run at over 60MPH, it's established in Ghosts of Onyx that Beta Company IIIs run at about 30MPH.

Kelly can't run over 60 mph, it's John who does that ONCE and tears his Achilles tendon. He was also in full mjolnir mark V armor, which Noble Team also has

And as quoted, Beta company S3's at AGE 12 run 30 mph.

Halo: The Fall of Reach
page 4
"The Chief and his team sprinted up the half-kilometer sandstone slope in thirty-two seconds flat."

If they ran 500m in 32 seconds, then they ran 1/2km in 0.00888 Hour. So, it took me a few moments to understand the math here, but they ran about 56.25km/hr. Pretty damn fast. Given that Kelly is established to be the fastest Spartan, she would have been able to run faster than 60 km/hr.

Blue team wins and convincingly at that. They would definitely suffer causualties because of similar training and armor but the experience and better augmentations would be the deciding factors.

Spartan II's do have better augmentations and in a fight where the oppenents are close to equal in skill the augmentations make a difference. Be it a firefight or H2H combat the battle is gonna be won by milliseconds so the reaction times of the II's is a huge advantage. While strength and straightline speed may not play a role the quicker reactions and durability of the II's will. This doesn't give them an automatic win but its an advantage that should be recognized.

Bring in the experience factor and the cohesion blue team has and I say its a no brainer. A hard fought battle but one that is won by blue team, hands down.

better augmentations

I'm pretty sure it's been proven that even if the augmentations are better, the results are only slightly better. S3 augmentations fielded basically the same results.

Slightly better? S-IIIs got a 300% reaction time boost. S-IIs got a 1400% reaction time boost. Close to 4.5x faster is pretty significant. I still haven't seen strength feats anywhere close to kicking an approximately 1 ton exoskeleton 8 meters without using MJOLNIR enhancements.

Also, everyone on Blue Team besides Kelly has mark VI armor, as compared to the modified(in a bad way) Mark V armor NOBLE Team wears.

Better is better. That small margin when applied could be the difference in a close fight.

I don't think it was the same results either but I don't have the evidence or data to compare since the s-III's didn't wear mjolnir armor aside from noble.
