cars, girls & cake all day everyday

This is exactly what I said!
But...then if you read down you'll see what guy2goldtext said.

And...just for fun:
Oh cool, my link was broken and none of you told me. Now I have to really edit >:|

I do get annoyed buy it.

But it encourages you to get things right the first time.

^Not really? That is exactly why there is an "edit" option?

Here's a neat idea; if you edit your post within one minute of posting, the tag won't show up. (moderators will still see it, though)

  • 09.03.2011 11:30 PM PDT

It would be nice if it was the same front and shade as the 'when posted' time stamp.

What? Got something against Yetis?

Maybe if you scrolled over the post, it'd pop up? Only smaller and more translucent?

Everybody has suggested to do something about this.

They have done nothing.
It's been a whole lotta this since 1991.

Too bad, it stays. Stealth edits are irritating for so many reasons. You'll just have to suck it up.

Right, we realize the importance of having an "Edited Time-Stamp"
We just want it to be out of the way and more unique.

Besides, any one can simply write the edited time-stamp

I want it to be smaller.

I just think it should be more compact and smarter looking. Maybe even have a box that appears with it to explain what the edit was. So say I make a mistake, I type in the box and it says:

Just an idea anyway :)

I don't think that is really necessary. You can already say in your post what or why you edited your post (e.g. EDIT: Spelling fixed or EDIT: [New point]). I'd rather the message just become like the date and time of your original post (faded and italicized).

A fair point, but I personally think it would make the post look smarter.

Yeah it's annoying.

It would be cool if they moved it down to the space between the normal post time-stamp and the edit/report/reply buttons.

It would be better if it was the same size and colour as the timestamp at the bottom of the post.

I agree with this statement.

Dam, beat me to it.

Is it possible for the edit stamp to be added to the same line that the current timestamp is on? That would certainly make it look cleaner.

He is saying that he doesn't like how the edit text looks so to prevent this he makes sure to not make mistakes the first time.

It makes the edit visible (in which it should be), without detracting from the post.
