I play for fun and armory completion. :)

Bungie is no longer managing the Halo Universe. While our Halo-related forums and stats remain available, be advised that "official" answers and support about the Halo Universe (past, present, or future) are not.

Ever since this message was added to the top of thread and post creation, people have started just quoting this if someone has a question game related.

If someone simply posts this and that is all, is it considered spam or not? It isn't exactly a helpful response when 5 people post the same thing.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

It shouldn't be. I do it alot and other people as well. I haven't received a warning or anything. I just use it to help inform people.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Technically, no.

Topics about Halo are not on-topic in the Community Forum; thus, quoting the whole thing about Bungie not managing Halo is fine, I believe.

No. that's not spam. What is spam is when someone shows someone to the right forum or quotes that, and then ten other people quote what they posted and make a -blam!-ing quote pyramid of it. That get's really annoying really quick and actually is spam and bumping a bad thread for no reason what so ever.

It shouldn't be. However, wouldn't it be better just to report the thread and send a message to the member, so you do not bump the thread.

Holy crap, all you people do here is talk about what should be bannable or other none sense similar to this... If someone can't have the sense to read a huge header above every post they create and if they had and just ignored it, then that is all they deserve to get as a response.

Why would it be? It's an important message.

SPARTANS! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?!

AOOH, AOOH, AOOH!

When it's used where it's viable (like someone posting about suggestions for Reach in the future) it's something that could be worth quoting. Otherwise it's not really contributing to the conversation, so I suppose it could be.

I don't think so. It is a disclaimer, kind of like a warning you see on cigarette packets.

Though if it is constantly posted with no reason, then yes, it could be considered spam. It is all a matter of the situation it is being used in.

As annoying as it is to see 5 people post it in a row, it isn't really spam unless the members had no reason to post it.

Not "Spam", but forum copping.

The only time that I really forum cip, is when there is a thread created in the wrong forums. So I just tell them what forums it belogns in, and move-on.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I'll be honest. I never actually noticed that.
