I see the assassins have failed

I am wondering what you think that the Halo Reach campaign should have ended. I know that the ending mission (Lone Wolf) was one of the most beast endings in the history of halo, but do you think there could have been a better way of taking care of the covenant being on reach?

I was at a baseball game wondering why the ball gets bigger as it comes closer.......then it hit me.......
Objection!

The only way I see a different result is if they're hadn't been a break-down in command with ground forces. Had a capable officer priortized and executed a better defense of the orbital mac cannon generators then the navy may have held out long enough to push the covenant to a stalemate.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I think the story shouldn't have had Noble Team killed off one by one. It would have been more powerful if everyone was just dropping in a hopeless situation.

This would've been nice, a dire situation like the alamo or something like red teams last stand at the generators. Epic in scope and feeling

I see the assassins have failed

that sounds much cooler

it also would have been better if Reach would have had more than one space satellite

I already won.

I liked the ending, but there had to be a way to save Noble 6.

There was.

The game should have been about the Spartans giving a fight against the Covenant in August 30.

They send them on a mission, and succeed, however, the invasion is so big, that they are forced to look for a way to survive and escape the planet.

You would be Noble 6, and along with Noble Team, you would have to survive epic missions, outnumbered by the Covenant army. However, your allies would be vulnerable to damage, so they can either survive the whole game, or die in the first mission, leading to different endings. That way, you could actually feel some attachment to them, rather than wanting them to die since the first mission as they are 100% useless.

But Bungie decided to make Halo: Reach.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Beating it on Legendary should have unlocked Jun's fate. A lot of sniper ammo + nice spot on Castle Base = epic.

or it could unlock a special firefight map.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

The entire campaign was fail. I wouldn't just change the ending.

Honestly, there couldn't of been a better ending. It makes perfect since in the end. If Noble Six had gone with Keyes after the Pillar of Autumn, the CCS-class battlecruiser would have made chunks out of the Pillar.

Like Halsey said, Noble's sacrifice is what helped when the war if not completely win the war.

I mean Noble Six was the courior for Cortana.

If Jorge hadn't sacrificed himself to destroy one of those Mega-cruisers, the Pillar might not have been able to take off in the first place.

If Kat hadn't decrypted that intel they wouldn't have had an idea of what the hell to do.

Six couldn't of made to the Autumn if Carter hadn't sacrificed himself to destroy the Scarab tank that was about to make a meal out of Six and Emile.

Emile is the reason Keyes could get to them and Six could deliver the Package to Keyes.

Finally, Six is the reason Keyes could get the Autumn out of dry-dock and leave the planet. The only reason Six didn't live is because he had no way off the planet.

All of these sacrifices allowed Cortana to be delivered safely to the John 117's hands.

And we should all know from the last three games why Cortana is so important.

They should have had John awake and fighting to help defend the platform, awaiting the arrival of the package (and awaiting red team, but they never come...)

Then when Emile dies, John selflessly decides to take up the MAC cannon (that's just how he is), but six tells him that "That AI, she chose you, and she's more important than either of us". Keyes supports this argument, and John basically has no choice but to let six stay behind, even though he would rather stay behind with the rest of his spartans, which he fears are all dead.

They should have just stuck to the canon of TFoR. Problem solved. Everyone's happy. Reach falls the way it should and we all get to come on here and talk about how much we enjoyed the campaign...if only.

I understand the need to leave everything sewn up in the end but he should've escaped. He was an asset and not really expendable. I would've preferred an escape via a pelican to a space station or a cave or something to hide in. Or something with an open ending.

MarkVIProductions has a video called "The Alternative" on youtube that shows an alternative ending to Reach. I thought it was pretty cool.
