Subject: Halo Anniversary. Thoughts?

I would prefer a Halo 2 remake over ODST 2.

If they make a remake of Halo 2, at least I would enjoy the campaign and more remastered multiplayer maps and stuff.

Halo 3: ODST was just plain bad, I'm not interested in playing as the Rookie again, or with with anyone in Dare's Squad.

Can't help but wonder why EVERYONE likes ODST.

The use of the Halo: Reach engine for multiplayer is a dealbreaker. I missed out on the epic LAN parties from when Halo was first released because of my age, and without the opportunity to experience that, there's not enough for me to justify spending $40 on a game I already own.

Amen to that. The one, single thing I was excited about Halo: Anniversary was the idea that i'd be playing CE's multiplayer online. I was only able to play in a few LANs, having not owned an Xbox myself until well into Halo 2, but the ones I played where absolutely awesome.

Finding out that this was going to be CE with nicer graphics and then Reach with CE maps made me absolutely furious. They're putting a blemish on CE's name by trying to keep selling Reach. It's a shame.

LOL same here. spot on answer by the way. hits the nail on the head with a lot fans. Also I can't wait for this remake and halo 4. I hope legendary edition will come out with both. Also if they do make Halo 2 remake my opinion would still be to buy it regardless of cost. It's part of my religion.!!!! lol if that makes sense.

I still think the feature list is pretty small, regardless of how much Dan Ayoub tries to convince me otherwise. It looks like a fair amount of work has gone into the terminals (although I don't like the voice work and part of me worries they'll ruin the mystery), but skulls and achievements really don't count as 'features' if you ask me. So the only real reason for me to get the game is to experience it with remastered graphics. Now don't get me wrong, experiencing my favourite CE locations in HD will be refreshing and exciting, but I'm not really a sucker for graphics, and whilst CEA's graphics are technically better, I actually prefer the mood that the original's lent the game. Featureless architecture, fog, and dirty human ordnance has been replaced by a heavy helping of clean detail that "almost humanises what is supposed to be an alien installation".

TU + maps look great though.
