"Wake up John! CHIEF!"
"I'm here.."

I've been playin Halo from the start. And if you ask me, I would follow the Halogames untill Halo 99, erm.. a.k.a till the end.
Would you?

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

Nope, I play halo games because they usually have a good story and are fun to play, not because 'halo' is on the box.

I'm not even sure if I'll buy halo CEA or halo 4 at this point since halo CEA is just halo CE (wich I've played a lot) and there isn't any official information about halo 4's plot.

I buy and play the Halo games because they provide me with entertainment. As soon as they stop, I'll stop too. Following something out of blind loyalty only results in disappointment for the player.

Agreed, though they are good games.

Depending on where the new trilogy goes, they either need to stop making halo games or have a couple a spin-offs, like concerning the Sangheili or something like Battlestations: Midway except with Halo ships.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I love Halo, but I'm not going to automatically love a Halo game because it's Halo. I have a strong dislike for Reach, but every other Halo I love.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I'll probably always be a huge Halo fan. But honestly, right now, I've always liked more the Covenant-Human War side of Halo's story. I mean it was 25 years of war, there is a lot of stories in there.

But then again, I cant really decide yet since I havent read Cyptum, and I have yet to play the new trilogy.

We shall see, but I will always be a fan of Halo, or at least of how Halo started out.

At least the franchise is in 343's hands now. They definitely are aware of the negative reactions many players had to Reach's gameplay, so it's unlikely they'll make the same mistakes. Reach's TU is a prime example of 343 responding to Reach players' criticism, while still letting those who enjoy the game as it is continue to do so.

To answer the question in the OP, yes, I think that, as long as 343 is able to uphold the high bar of quality Bungie has set, I will always continue to be a Halo fan.

Yea I would because every Halo would be fun for me and I can't just leave the series after 10 good years with it.

I though Reach was great

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

If 343 -blam!-s it up, I'm done.

This

I'm not a mindless fanboy who'd buy anything with Halo in the title.

I want to say yes but if you asked me 2 years ago if I would buy every single COD game I would have said of corse. Now I can not see myself ever buying another COD game and will think twice before buying anything that Activation is remotely associated with.

  • 09.06.2011 6:39 PM PDT

nope because halo reach sucks.
