Subject: Outside of B.net - How Social Media is Influencing the Community.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

As i sit here, looking at the people i follow on Twitter (@SamHey1), I see that a good portion of them is made up of people off the forums. I also follow members pages on Facebook, and have (tried) to get onto other social media websites, after being invited by other members.

The forums are fantastic here, they are a great way to discuss the games, the lore and the company we have all gathered to appreciated. People will also make the move to private groups, where they will meet people who become more than avatars on forums, they become friends.

This is where the social media aspect comes in, it seems Twitter is the main platform Bungie members use, and they contact each other and generally act as friends.

Bungie.net is the staging ground of the community, the starting point, where the community is expanding, is into media outside of that starting point.

I'm confused as to what exactly this is about...

Known by some, but not by all.

I always began with the games and then came here.

I sort of agree but that has some contradictions to the community. For one while twitter is a great way to message back and forth why would you go to twitter to discuss the games when you could just go to the website. For another the community is always communicating with (and I know that's outside the website) xbox live while playing the games.

I think that twitter is mainly where members talk amongst themselves, for actual discussion they return to Bungie.net.

I'd agree with you're statement regarding the fourms, but I lost you when you mentioned twitter...

Wake me, when you need me.

I'm not really sure if this is a blog, or just a thread with zero discussion value...

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.
