I remember around Post-Halo 3 and Pre-ODST was when I was constantly on b.net posting and replying to threads. Sometimes when I would refresh I would be the last post on every thread. This continued for at least 3 months prior to ODST and it's release.

I am sure even the most grizzled members of b.net has ran into bouts of addiction.

What say you?

Yup, mine was around April 2010. I spent way too much time on here in the Reach Forum.

  • 09.06.2011 12:20 AM PDT

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

There's an important difference between something being addicting and it being the only fun thing you have to do.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Fall 2002 when I first found the site, definitely. I'm pretty sure at one point I had single handedly filled one of the old activity meters by myself.

That's a lot more sad than it is cool. It's people like 2002 me that are the reason we can't have post counts.

Left here a long time ago.

This.

Though I will say that of all the forums I've seen on the web, BNet is one of the very, very few that has competent moderation, which makes it that much more enjoyable to browse because you know some secret-police type won't ban you just to get their own rocks off.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

Not really I am sporadic when it comes to B.net.

Stop banning me please.

Only because I have nothing else in life

Looking for clan that isn't too serious? Then join the ODST 501st Airborne Battalion. Go to http://www.501st.forumclan.com for more info.

I've had a Bungie.net addiction from 3 months before Halo Reach's release to present. I'm a Bungie.net fanatic at the moment.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Yes, but that was back before Halo Reach came out.

  • 09.06.2011 4:04 AM PDT

Yes, mine is right now. Not this second, I have school in a bit.

  • 09.06.2011 4:26 AM PDT

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I don't remember and exact time frame, but yeah, I've had a bit of a B.net addiction before. I used to be a huge Seventh Column junkie. All my time logged into B.net would be spent in chapters.

Sadly, yes. Sometimes it's worse where I go for months posting every single day, sometimes I don't post at all for months, but I can't stop coming here ever since 05ish.

Pffft! Screw this thread! *Does 180 spin and moon walks out of thread*

Do not panic, or you will fail.

The dying days of Halo 2 is when I spent an excessive amount of time here.

But I don't regret it!

Yea right around the end of the halo reach beta I was constantly on Bungie.net going on the forums looking for more info on halo reach related maps and the new forge world. It was a great summer.

Swag punks, fuck off!

I have one everyday.

  • 09.06.2011 6:47 AM PDT

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

Pre-Reach I was posting way too much.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

When the VGA's showed Reach's reveal trailer and later the GI article... I think I got my fabled member during those weeks alone. I usually have a B.net addiction when ever I get on a computer, but not like back then.

Hundreds upon hundreds of posts. Pulling all nighters on the forums. T'was crazy, but I regret nothing. I loved those times.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

It's not an addiction when:

You consider throwing Reach in, but then run a few scenarios in your head of how the next few moments of your life are going to be..

And you realize that it would be much funner to bash on Bungie for releasing the pile of -blam!- instead.

I figure I'll be done bashing on Reach once it's reached its 1 year anniversary.
