Remember that Bungie update, Per Audicia ad Astra. It was latin.

Bungie started on a Mac, an Apple product. Then got with Microsoft, had a game series on Xbox and now has an app with Apple.

If you follow the link on the 2nd story, in the Bungie.net homepage about new account features, it takes your computer to an unexpected website. Apple website.

Well, when Bungie wasn't an LLC and was with Microsoft Game Studios, users had to create a hotmail email account and now its windows live id.

Does this mean that soon, you will need to create an Apple id on Apple.com to have a user account on this website?

Subject: How will the Bungie LLC and Apple merger effect this community

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

I saw a Facebook button on the bottom of the homepage. This is a clear sign that Bungie is being integrated within Facebook, and that Facebook accounts will probably be required along with Live accounts and Apple IDs.

So is that how all of the big companies are going to get the accounts. I guess the home of one of the biggest Xbox games has some competiton. And it seems some other LLCs have taken interest in the users on the site.

OR it could just be that iOS doesnt support WLID's and that Bungie currently is involved in a game on that platform, Crimson.

This ninja has flames around the head in front of a setting sun back ground. Could this be the start of a flammed topic? Maybe it could be pinned as a directive in case a lot of threads copy cat this fish, trolling for spam. lol

It takes you to Apple's site because that is where you can download the app. The 'new features' are for the Bungie iPhone app. You can stop freaking out now.

Or it could just be Bungie telling everyone they have a Facebook page. I also see a link to Youtube and Twitter, it doesn't mean you'll need any of those kinds of accounts. Just a bit of promotion, after all, they are under the heading of 'follow us'.

OP I have no idea what you're talking about...

The second news story on the front page is about the Bungie iPod app. Although that said, I get the feeling that the OP knows that perfectly well.

I know that and you should know this. Pre July 7, 07, Bungie was not an LLC (limited liability Corporation). They almost developed Halo as a third person shooter for an Apple computer. Microsoft built a video came console, absorbed Bungie and held on until July 7.

Bungie then absolved itself from Microsoft and is going back to its roots.

So because Bungie was originally developing for the Mac and now has an app for Apple products, they are now going back to Apple?

Want to see advanced Halo stats not offered by other Halo stat websites? Check out MetaHalo.com, the stats website I am working on. Reach stats currently in development.

Like BTB? Check out bigteambattle.net!

All they did was publish an iPad game... they didn't develop it.

False. It's because Crimson stats are being handled via Facebook.

I swear people don't even pay attention to anything...

I highly doubt that we will have to use an Apple ID just because Bungie is making a game on an Apple system. Just because they did it with Microsoft doesn't mean they will do it with Apple.

You can pay attention but what your attention is focused on is always free. Ask questions.

You really have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

Bungie is now creating games for all three major gaming platforms.

They are not going to become a developer just for the Mac.

I didn't mean to say Bungie will be exclusive to one company, I was just asking a question about log in id's. Thanks for the info everyone.
