In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Calm yer pants, it's not your problem. If you don't break the rules originally then you won't have to think about "when I did that" when others do it.

It is my problem though. >:(

I don't even try to break the rules but I am always the first one to get banned.

I have NEVER been banned or warned on any site except Bungie.net, and it is usually for nit-picky offences like "you have too much Large CAPS LOCK", little things like that.

But, I see other people break the rules all the time and never get banned or warned.

I am trying to be a good forum goer but seriously. . .

Watching you guys get so worked up over this is very entertaining. I wish I had some popcorn.

You know, some of us don't think any of this is funny and to get lols at another users expense and problems is not funny either.

You complain too much and try to draw far too much attention to yourself so you can be a mod... Simple as that, Ken. Maybe you're under "order" from Foman to not respond to my posts like you are with other people, but seriously just stop breaking the rules and you will have zero issues.

I know, I'm done...

I got to watch everything I say from now on, becuase even the slightest slip up and it will land me a quick ban.

Oh well, I guess I just got to stay back in the Flood from now on.

I usually get banned because I accidentally broke a rule, and the Mods are probably the same. It's not a huge problem, and it's only happened a few times, but I understand what you're saying. You're almost infamous, everyone knows SK15 is a bad boy, and I understand how you must feel when you say you're angry that they can do what they want and you get banned for the smallest things, but that's the key point: they're the Mods. Unfortunately, they'll always be above us, no matter how much they try to deny it.

I'm not trying to start a fight here, but that's the truth. I couldn't care less; Moderators are generally expected to be treated differently than regular members. It's not as if every day they go out of their way to beat the hell out of an unsuspecting OP, but they break the rules sometimes. It happens, but it's not a big deal.

I get what you're saying, but that's just the way things are. The thing the OP said about the whole 'title' thing is pretty true also; there is a degree of favoritism, but the site isn't dripping with it. We'll just have to suck it up.

And Spartain Ken manages to derail another thread. Unbelievable.

Anyway, major respect points to Recon. He didn't need to do this, yet he did anyway to humor the haters. He shouldn't have even been banned in the first place, even if he was a normal member. I wouldn't like to see mods handing out bans for this sort of stuff.

  • 09.06.2011 3:16 PM PDT

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Please don't try to start a fight, the thread's bad enough as it is.

What makes me mad is I have no intention of breaking the rules, at all.

If I actually tried to break the rules, i would probably be perma banned at this point.

I am trying to start a new but I feel I have ever right as a member of this site to discuss this like everyone else.

What makes me mad is some of these people (who I never even seen before) want to say I am an idiot for saying what I am saying becuase I apparently have this reputation on here just becuase I <3 coming to Bungie.net.

I agree. It's ridiculous; he says "pr0nz," a word hardly even close to the word "-blam!-," and the Community has a heart attack. I don't think it was necessary at all, "pr0nz" is pretty much "inb4" or "umad" around here. He didn't need to ban himself at all.

LOL, he can still moderate. He proved nothing other than the fact that the Community has a lot of whiners in it.
Posted by: NewRadical12
He banned himself for bypassing the profanity filter.

Sounds like he was just fed up with the community, I can't blame him.

I don't think so either.

A better thing to of done would of been if everyone was like:

"Hey, lets be more lenient towards what we post".

But, Recon can still moderate so nothing really changed.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

Ok guys. Rob is winning this thread after the two pics he posted.

Oh and for the record I have hit that part in my time here where I don't care about anything anymore. Having fun and poking jabs is what I am about now.

Now all I need to do is start drinking heavily like Imp and then we can really have some drama.

Considering how much drama you yourself have perpetuated over the years, that's a pretty bold, and ironic statement.

yeah but "have fun and poking jabs" lands most people here a quick ban so you are insanely lucky.

Exactly the same with me. Every time I get banned, I just go "Oh, damn! I was banned for that?" I don't mean to break them, which is why I understand how frustrating it is when people just say "Oh, well just don't break them and there won't be a problem, herpderp!" Yes, Ken, unfortunately you do have a reputation. You're spoken about enough that people use the abbreviation "SK15," which I took to mean that your name is thrown around quite a lot.

I made the point yesterday that I love Bnet, but I don't want to post like I'm walking on coals; if I do anything but that, I will most likely get accidentally banned, and it sucks. I just try to watch what I post, and I'm trying to be careful. What I'd do, if I were you, is just ask Foman if you can kind of have a sort of re-start. Like, remember that one ban you got ?Where the description was "Oh, you're not learning, Ken?" Well, I'd just ask Foman if you could kinda just have those history-related bans kind of ignored for the moment, because you're trying to start over. That way, you won't get a two-week for making an off-topic post; you'd get a 3-day like a normal person.

The rest of the mods should follow his example and ban themselves for all the pointless and disruptive offtopic spam they're posting in this forum. Make it a month.

I hope the mods don't become more strict, I mean, it is so easy to get banned here already for almost ANYTHING.

But, we could be more lenient.

Are you kidding me? The mods here have become so relaxed lately, it's great!

Not really, here is what I notice.

Many people here have been here for years and know the mods well.

So, when an older member here posts off topic or says something odd, the mods laugh and don't ban.

But if I (a 2 year old member) do that, it is considered bannable.

In fact, I made a thread that was locked, got a warning BUT!!!!, some kid made almost the same exact thread 3 days later and the mods posted in it.

My thread

Another users thread

Similar, worded differently. Mine was about what employees and forum members do outside of Bungie.net, his was about what employees do outside of Bungie.net.

The person who made the other thread joined two months before you, so I don't think that really helps your argument. I do see, however, that the threads were similar and your thread was locked and his was not. That doesn't seem too fair, however he made his thread a little more clear, I found yours a little confusing at first.

I do still play Badminton though.
