I'd be curious as to what development trends Bungie will be employing with their current project.

For example, I've noticed that some developers are implementing Lua for their programs. If I'm not mistaken, Crimson was build using Lua, and the behemoth that Blizzard developed was built with Lua.

So, with Bungie as the pulse of the development community; My question: Is "Destiny" written using Lua, or is it built using tried and true methods developed in-house?

Also I noticed from the 20th vidoc that Bungie has created some fancy in-house tools. How crucial is it to develop in-house tools? Are the tools just addons to existing applications like 3DSMax, or are they build from scratch using in-game methods?

There is a lot of stuff I want to learn about the game development business, but it can be hard to gain the experience needed to be a successful company. What I wouldn't give just to be a fly on Bungie's wall for a week. But at least I have this portal we call b.net into the Bungie studio, no matter how obscured the view.

Lua is only a scripting language. It is not possible to build a game using lua.

whatever bungie's next IP is, will be using C/C++ ( Mostly C++ )

Hello! You may also know me as Ijnekono. How you have made your way here I do not know, but welcome. (:

If I was Bungie, I would want to have my own personal tool set that no other companies have access to for uniqueness and hopefully superiority.

Bip Bap Bam in the brainpan!

Well, concidering that their next project is completely different than Halo, they have a fresh start. So, with the project code named Destiny, Bungie sounds like theyre yet again going to amaze us.

Hey man you can do everything in blender that you can do with anything else, it's not like the difference between paint and photoshop.
