Cave Johnson here, we're done!

PS: If you are reading this comment while imagining my voice, don't panic. That's just a side effect of the testing.

A while ago I tried to submit a reach frigate for one of bungie's all star contests. The time frame limited me from adding major details and giving it proper lighting, and as a result the submission was lacking.

When I submitted it, it looked like this:

Frigate

Frigate Alternate Angle

At that time it was pretty much pure geometry with a bland texture placeholder and some light emanating from the engines (I didn't get a star by the way).

But I decided to give it another go, I didn't add as much as I would like to, most of the geometry has stayed the same, but what I am happy about is the details and the new lighting (I'll tackle the textures later).

Here is what it currently looks like:

Frigate 1

Frigate 2

Frigate Exiting Slipspace

I have enjoyed making this, and I hope you get some small visual entertainment out of this. I'm also open to suggestions and or creative criticism.

Have a nice day, and thanks for coming by fellow gallery goers.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

This is seriously awesome. Even the submitted pictures are cool by themselves.

Hello! You may also know me as Ijnekono. How you have made your way here I do not know, but welcome. (:

Nice 3D Renders! What are you going to use them for? Maybe see if animation is possible?

I can animate them if I wish, but so far my camera work is... well... terrible.

I need to learn the importance of camera work before I work on anything major, but animation takes so long, just a 720p render of 16 seconds will take me 8 hours or so.

As for using it, I'm not sure. I pretty much do this as a hobby, and my only purpose is to get enjoyment out of this project.

Also thank you.
