I <3 you too Bungie

I just saw a banner ad on the GDC site saying "Learn from Joseph Staten, Bungie". And just in case there was any confusion, they then put up a very dramatic looking mug shot of our favorite Bungie writer. Is there any official info on this? Just curious.

Also, is there any info on the professional/industry conferences that Bungie or Bungie employees plan to present at over the next year? I'm noticing a lack of clarity for these conferences from both the developer and conference-organizer side. I'm assuming nobody wants to get mugged by ravenous fans?

If this doesn't belong in the Community forum just let me know where it should be. This seemed the best place, thanks.

Whoo.

Bungie employees are going/speaking at these conference as individuals, not as "Bungie Employees", whatever they state is not anything on behalf of Bungie neither is it usually related to Bungie.

Ah...the way they listed BUNGIE on the ad made me wonder. Any clue on anything Bungie will be officially presenting at as an organization?

Whoo.

It's mostly for context and networking.

Bungie doesn't really present anything as an organisation, unless you consider vidocs and bonus material, they could be handling their new game's announcement/advertisement too.

But there are rarely any publications/lectures specifically done on behalf of the company.

It was on the homepage of the gdc site...now it's gone. There were two alternating banners on the right, one GAO and one for GDC Online. Now the Staten one is gone and is replaced by one with John Vechey with PopCap. Maybe the staten one was an accident from last year's GDC ads?
