Subject: Are you looking forward to the speculation period?

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.

Before each Bungie release, the relevant game forum is usually awash with fun, friendly speculation, before it descends into chaos with release. Are you looking forward to this time?

I especially enjoyed the build-up to Reach because the community guessed so many features before they where announced.

Very much so. We're sailing into completely uncharted waters, and there be Monsters here.

Yet also, in these unmapped oceans, there be many jewels to be found.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Yes, I most definitely am. I joined for the Halo 3 speculation, enjoyed that and then a few years later I thoroughly enjoyed the ODST speculation (which is when I actually became active). Reach was pretty cool, especially with all the ViDocs and Screenshots (to me it seemed like there was a lot more than for H3 or ODST).

Destiny awaits.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

I generally don't do anything. The forums get so fast its almost useless to post in them.

this, so much.

heck I already have a giant speculation based on destiny. but then again it is based off of other bnet members assumptions. and you know what happens when you assume . . .

I don't think it will be like that for Destiny, it's not a Halo game, so it wont have as much attention to begin with.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yep, now we speculate what project tiger is.

The monsters themselves are infact jewel encrusted.

Now we must capture the monsters and take their jewels.

If the monsters are like that, you should see the sirens.

Speculation is always the best part of game forums. No one is complaining about overpowered weapons or powers. Everyone is full of hope that their cool idea might make it in. Before Reach came out that forum wasn't bad at all. The same can be said for the Halo 3 forum.

It's great for discussion.

Yeah, the forums have been a pit of rage for some time.

I am glad we can all chill out now. :P

Your all so awesome.

I suppose I'll be excited.

  • 09.07.2011 12:06 PM PDT

ISU Cyclones!

Oh most definitely. The Halo games were fun to speculate but we still had a generally good idea of what they were gonna be.

This is new. We don't even know the game genre yet. FPS? TPS? RPG? MMO added in front of any of those? and my personal hope, SPACE FLIGHT SHOOTER?

I'm excited.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Absolutely, it'll be fun to speculate something brand spankin' new for a change.

  • 09.07.2011 12:14 PM PDT

Absolutely! It was fun spectulating the Halo games in the past.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Even if it is super small, I just want some info on the story. Like the Reach campaign reveal.

Extremely excited. Speculation fuels amazing arguments and ideas.

I hope Bungie's new game will produce the same hype Reach did.

Really looking forward to it.
