Where was Red Team in relation to Noble Team? Where were the generators for the Super MAC guns? And what were the other teams doing, like Green, Orange (can't remember other teams)?

Also, are Brutes being on Reach, like in the game, canon? I recall John mentioning his first encounter with one in First Strike, and that they were restricted of service with the Covenant because of their reckelessness.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Red Team was out of the system during the first part of Reach if I'm not mistaken, and then at the later parts they were briefed for Operation: REDFLAG and then sent to defend the SMAC generators from the Covenant.

and Brutes were not encountered by the Spartans because they were used mostly in things Elite would probably not do (attacking Civilians and the likes) as opposed to the Brutes who would have the time of their lives tearing said civilians to pieces, besides, John wasn't on Reach during the battle, he was in Gamma Station.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

All the other Spartan teams were condensed into one large Red Team to protect the S-MAC generators, though there wasn't an Orange team to begin with.

If anyone wants to get together and play some Marathon Durandal on the xbox contact me and we can work something out.

Okay, thanks, but was Red Team far from Noble when they were delivering the Package (I'm just curoius if you knew)? And yeah, I knew John was there, I just thought it was kind of weird how he's never encountered Brutes before in other campaigns.

Red Team was probably relatively near Noble Team because they fell back to Castle Base after the failure of protecting the generators.

And Brutes were not used extensively on Reach, they were more encountered on the Unyielding Heirophant, Harvest, Earth, and the Ark. Reach was primarily an Elite campaign.

The time of meeting certain enemies is TFOR is no longer canon.

If it was canon then they wouldn't have met elites or hunters until what....20 years into the war?

If you think that's still canon then you're daft.

Don't bug me till I've had my Java!

Which means they probably ran into Noble-3 and Doctor Halsey on their way to CASTLE Base.

It just seems weird that they appear again after a 27 year gap. I mean seriously, why did Bungie have to put them in Reach??

They had to fill the void left by the flood somehow.

The times that various species first appear in TFOR and first strike is NO LONGER CANON. Bungie said it themselves in their "canon" post.

Pay attention.

Unfortunately, the way the Halo canon policy as I understand goes something like this;

Tier Levels

1. The Games.-Tier 1-Highest level.
2. The Books/Novels.-Tier 2
3. Comics.-Tier 3
4.Anime/films.-Tier 4
5. Other/Merchandise.-Tier 5- Lowest level.

Get the picture? so basically all of the games including Reach and Halo Wars precede and override the books in terms of Canon, so even First Strike is not set it in stone as both Halo Wars and Contact Harvest override it on the terms of the first encounters of the Brutes and the Flood.

Was that understandable? Note that the above is just layman terms and it's a bit more complicated than that, but you get the gist of it right?

If I have made any mistakes please point them out.

I always thought that games and novels had the same level of canon, I thought bungie announced that. And Halo Wars definitely breaks canon. Flood outbreak? Okay???? Yeah, no. Wasn't even made by bungie, screw Halo Wars.

Halo wars is still canon, the UNSC never discovered what happened in Halo wars about the flood outbreak because the spirit of fire never made contact with the UNSC after that (the fate of the SOF is unknown). and are you saying that all halo games/novels/anything not being made by bungie is rubbish just because of the developer who made it rather than its content? Because if so, screw you.

WHOAH. Well, okay. I just thought bungie had to declare something to do with the Halo franchise made by someone else canon. And sorry, didn't finish Halo Wars, didn't know the ending.
