When you no longer need a membership for Bungie Pro, you can still purchase packs that give you render minutes, do you still get you benefits of Bungie Pro (24 fileshare slots, Bungie Pro nameplate) when you purchase the new render minute packs?

Sorry if this is a little confusing

I'm a little confused by what you're saying.

If you're bungie pro runs out, you no longer have 24 fileshare slots until you renew it.

Render minute packs are exactly that, render minutes, not bungie pro.

After 9/15, the following things will be true:

- You won't be able to renew Bungie Pro anymore.
- Expiring Bpro users won't lose their file share slots or nameplates, at least until March 22nd 2012. After that, it is Microsoft's call (although they've indicated they don't plan to take them away)
- Bungie Pro membership will no longer be required to purchase and/or use render minutes. However, once your Pro membership expires, you won't get 5 free render minutes a month anymore.

Before then, everything stays as it is: render minutes are add-ons to the existing subscription.

Thx achronos, something tells me Microsoft wont give anything away for free, including render minutes.

We were somewhere around Barstow...

I never bothered with Bungie Pro, because I can't post my own material to my file share for some reason, likely my gamertag. I hope that's fixed soon, it even worked in Halo 3 but not Reach.

What's happening on March 22nd 2012 then or is just a random date

Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

So my Bungie Pro expires 10/22/2011(October 22). Will I have the expanded file share until March 22nd or will that go away on the expiration date?

Wait so now we are not sure if those people get to keep Bungie Pro? Can we get confirmation before the subscription deadline? I dont want to buy it again if I wont get to keep it.

Bungie Pro lasts 6 months. So thats just over 6 months past the last day you can buy a subscription.

Karl2177: Your subscription expires after 9/15 (on 10/22).
- Before your expiration date, everything will continue to work as it did before.
- After your expiration date, the only thing that will change is that you will no longer get 5 render minutes per month. Your fileshare, nameplate, and rendering abilities will remain the same.
-After March 22 2012, this behavior is Microsoft's call (although they've indicated they don't plan to take things away).

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -

Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

.

There's no use in asking a company like microsoft for a promise, especially when it comes to free stuff. Even if they did say they'd keep it after March 22nd, they could turn around and shut it down on April 22nd.

So the service will vanish as well?

I feel as if we'll see a return of Bungie Pro in some form in their next game. But as for now, I think that is the case.

Id be surprised if Bungie didn't include them in future games. Fileshare is a pretty important part of Bungie games i think.

My bungie pro doesn't expire until Nov, but I just lost 4 of my 5 minutes for September on 9/15.

What gives?

So if we have paid for Render minutes, when our account expires (mine expires in early October), do the minutes stay with you, or do they expire, along with your account?
