"I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes." - Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger
I will admit first up, I am still only playing Halo 3 for the last 2 achievements I have to get, Lightswitch and Spartan Officer, however getting games without idle players (boosting via other players getting wins/using a turbo controller to constantly hit A and jump), derankers, 2nd account players (usually those level 50's that want to stroke their ego), quitting players, and terrible, almost unplayable, lag is rare.
Even when you have a decent game where everyone is playing and you are doing well, your team mates can run out and die. Going positive isn't enough, you need to hope to hell your team mates don't suck and die and thus YOU LOSE?
I'm at 40 out of 50... and it's taken me nearly three hours for the past 4 wins. With people quitting, the rest of my team sucking (all getting -4 or lower), idle players on my team as well as derankers on my team, and if a player quits when this is happening, they lose XP? Why? I haven't quit once... I've went highly positive and WON with two derankers on my team who were constantly lowering my shields thanks in no small part to my only trying team mate who went like +8 and me at +6. However, THAT's worth 1 EXP, just like if I won a game playing all idles (hasn't happened yet, most was an idle, a deranker, and I believe one of the others on their team quit).
It's getting to the point where I'm starting to think "-blam!- it, I may as well idle the last 10EXP." < note: Bungie, ultra-mature does not mean PG, and Jun swears in Reach anyway, so screw your hypocrisy.
I have a K/D of 1.10 (ATM, subject to change) in ranked Team Slayer. So, I should win approx 55% of my team slayer games (IF you ignore times betrayed which don't give a -1 to the team in 3 but count as a death). However, I have a 51% win ratio.
So, is it actually fair to base it on games won and not how many games you've went positive? If so, please explain HOW it is fair.
