Subject: What do you think about the idea of Halo Day?

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

Don't worry, Bungie day will still exist.

If you want to make a holiday go right ahead. It's up to you to find people to celebrate it with you. You could start a group full of like minded people who want a similar holiday to organize it and find a base for it. If enough people buy in then maybe 343i will start to recognize it in some capacity (though I would recommend you use a day that isn't already taken like November 15 is).

Says who? It's the day Halo began. It could be said to be Halo day.

I said it was "taken" because it is the anniversary of the release of Halo CE. You could celebrate that day with a smaller group, but if you are looking for eventual recognition from 343i then you would want a day that is "yours."

All in all, it's a good idea. While I don't think that 343i should have to make it, they probably should be the ones to officially announce it.................. Wait a second............. Why not just move the Halo Fest dates to November 14, 15, and 16th? I know it may seem like a lot a work (and it probably would be), I say they just move the dates. Move the date, keep the location. Thoughts?

bungie day isn't "all about halo".

And Nov. 15 is already noted as the anniversary of halo, by 343. So consider that your halo day, if you want.

Never curse a failure. Learn from your mistakes so that if you are lucky enough to get a second chance, you can avoid repeating the same mistakes. And have a greater outcome.

July 7th will always be Bungie day no matter what they're current major title is.

on another note I have created a organization called United Halo Veterans Club if anyone is interested

Swag punks, fuck off!

To me it sounds ok.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Like many have said Bungie Day =/= Halo Day, they were celebrated as one because at the time Halo was what they had going on. Hell I celebrated Bungie Day by playing Oni.

As for Halo Day specifically, I'm sure 343i will do something, they seem to be on similar wavelengths as Bungie. Might want to take your idea over their way.

Is Halo Fest an annual thing? If so that sounds like an appropriate Halo day.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

It's either going to be that, July 3rd (7^3=343), or their just not going to have one and claim that "everyday is Halo day."

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Because those are machinimas.

ok ok fine I get all of your points. it's not fair, the people of roosterteeth created red vs blue, whats his name made arby n chief, why in hell cant I at least try to make a cool holiday. It's not impossible. You know what, it doesnt matter if its a national thing or not, as long as me and my friends celebrate it that is what matters

Bungie did not make Crimson: Steam Pirates, they only published it through Bungie Aerospace.

  • 09.10.2011 6:57 AM PDT

I think Halo Day should be a national holiday.

you're probably a troll, but crimson isn't a bungie game. It's just a game they're sponsoring.

Halo day would be an international holiday, so we can play Halo instead of going to work.

Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

Ask smart questions
http://catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

The best way to enjoy Bungie Day is by inviting a couple of friends and playing Halo for straight 12 hours. Regardless of the game and the mode; just to have fun.

The food must be like pizza, snacks, beer, vodka and well anything that you shouldn't eat together unless it's Bungie Day, and play until everyone is smelly.

After all, that's how Bungie Day begun in the first place...

because I though halo fans cared, like they did back in the days of Halo 2 and even 3. obviously no one cares anymore. at least no one on here.

I def care and think its a great idea. What will you be doing or how do you plan on celebrating Halo day?
