wow, there is a lot of misinformation here
1. Bungie didn't want to stop making Halo, they had to leave it behind to have all the creative control over their product they wanted.
2. 343 isn't a "division" of Bungie, They actually have few former Bungie employees.
3. Nobody "pushed" Bungie away from Halo. Quite the opposite.
4. Bungie's focus is not casual games, they just are not talking about what they are working on now.
5. Bungie didn't make Crimson, they are just publishing for smaller studios that don't have the resources to launch on their own.
6. Bungie didn't name Crimson.
7. Reach was the most successful of all the Halo games, not just in sales volume, but also in concurrent players in matchmaking. It blew Halo 3's number out of the water. If the fans felt betrayed, they would not have done so much to make Reach #1 and keep crushing multiplayer a year after release.
