I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

Now I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of you are thinking "lolwut" but here me through.

I am assuming that we all know what backward comparability means for a console, being able to play older games from the previous console. Now on the off chance there was a working M16 would MJOLNIR armour recognize that it is an M16 and display the number of rounds somehow?

So that's my random thought for the night. Yes I know I am crazy.

Yes... I can dodge ducks... and slow moving bullets.

I assume the way MJOLNIR 'knows' how many rounds are in something is either due to it knowing before, which could be designated by the user or electronically monitored, hand how many rounds are in a gun therefor it simply counts how many comes out thus affecting the HUD displaying the ammo counter, this would work for Covenant weaponry through monitoring the energy levels in a weapon of covenant or energy based weapon.

Considering that it can tell that about covenant weaponry...

Most UNSC weapons are designed to link up to a SPARTAN's HUD via a smart-link system in the weapon's pistol grip, though I'd assume that the MJOLNIR armour would be able to estimate the magazine of weapons without this feature (Covenant weaponry especially).

Nope.

Notice the Halo Marine's/Trooper's eyepiece?

Guns in the future has a built in feature which links them to the HUD.

You still can look down the iron sights though.

Yeah i believe that the MJOLNIR armour was capable of playing N64 games.

Jokes aside, it could probably be programed in.

I don't think so, the HUD is linked to the weapon's Smart Scope to show the crosshairs and the ammo count.

I don't know how they make it work with the Covenant weapons though.

The software is by far advanced enough that it could be told manually or if an AI was present they could just use visual data to estimate the amount of rounds that would fit in the mag.

If the M16 has a smart-link in it, then yes, you could use it with spartan armor (cant remember the formal name for it)

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

MJOLNIR spelt backwards is RINLOJM, so I suppose so.

lol
