OK, I have nothing against 343 but it seems to me that 343 thinks that Halo CE is by far the best game of the Halo franchise. Now looking at the upcoming changes for Reach's multiple player, it appears to me that they are trying to make Reach more like CE. Now don't get me wrong, I love CE but I don't think the future (or present) games should be modeled completely on Halo CE,therefore spoiling the individual identity of the Halo games.. What do you guys think?

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Yeah, I'm not liking the 3 round headshot with the Magnum. I also heard they were taking out bloom, which I also enjoy because not every shot is 100% accurate in real life, too. I think those features will only be in the Anniversary gametypes, though, so you'll be safe playing the normal ones that Bungie made. If they put Anniversary gametypes in normal playlists . . . ohhh that's a paddlin'.

Depends how you see it, I was a massive CE player back on PC. Managing to accept it's poor netcode and get headshots with 3 shots was for some reason incredibly rewarding.

But personally, the change for the magnum is one of those power issues. The way the gun is at the current time is a hit and miss. It can be awfully strong if used right, but in most situations it won't be viable enough.

I for one re-welcome our Magnum overlords to the power they once were!

If I sound like a complete ass, I'm sorry, but I'm so tired of telling people: for the love of god, these changes do not apply to Reach multiplayer as a whole! They apply only to a select few playlists built for Anniversary. Its all options.

Halo: CE IS the best Halo.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Well what 343 is doing with reach is giving the option of having the CE elements in reach and changing things in it that the community doesn't like. Like with the magnum change they are doing that but you can still have the old(new) magnum that came with reach in different playlists. If you like bloom it'll still be there but in other categories it'll be gone. Take it how you will but I think it'll add something "new" to reach. And btw IMO halo CE was the best halo because it was the first, and usually the first is the best. Remember the entire game isn't going to change just a few key things and they wont be completely changed in all the playlists.

oh and Edit...

If you are against changes post it on the 343 forums not here since it'll just bounce around a few people and die. Where over there at least it might be read from someone on the Dev team. Or not.

They definately need to slow the magnums rate of fire if they don't want everyone screaming at them because it's over powered.

I've also got a question. If they're taking out bloom, does that mean that weapons will fire in a straight line hitting exactly where you're aiming, or will the bullets spread but still stay within the recticle?

To your Question, yes they will shoot where you aim (assuming the connection of host doesn't screw you over). Bloom is what makes your shots go in different directions. So yes they will go straight without bloom.

They never stated bloom was going to disappear entirely in the normal Reach playlists, they just said it could be tweaked (100% bloom for current Reach, 0% bloom for Halo CEA playlists, and anywhere inbetween for the updated Reach playlists).
