Subject: Bnet At School/Work?

Do you go on bungie.net at school or work? Have you ever?

It's 0 hour right now, so I'm allowed on Bnet for 45 more minutes.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

I usually go on when I am on the train heading toward university, and again on the way back home.

  • 09.12.2011 5:21 AM PDT

Yeah, I occasionally have a quick look at the forums during my free time at school.

Yours in _Kai_

Got 20 minutes before my Principles of Ecology lecture.

At this point, I'm pretty sure this is what I'm paid to do.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I go on Bnet during class.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

No, I never did. That's not to say I paid attention in class, no, I was reading a lot of other stuff on my computer (random Wikipedia pages in their entirety, computer blogs, pricing out computer parts on Newegg, reading reviews of computer parts, etc.).

  • 09.12.2011 7:06 AM PDT

I occasionally use it at college when I'm not working or on a break.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Yeah, I sometimes grab a friends Blackberry and get on B.net.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am on Bungie.net at school right now.

Nothing to do. :p

  • 09.12.2011 7:41 AM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Same. If only they'd offer overtime.

We get it at college sometimes, but half the time the filter blocks it. I just avoid the filter by using https:// instead of http://.

Supreme mastery therefore, is not to be victorious in all your battles; supreme excellence is to be victorious without fighting.

I get on all the time between classes.

I've got three hours before my history lecture.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Load times are slower because it's trying to figure out if it should be allowing it, but it loads eventually for me.

Does your college have a filter which prevents use of certain sites?

  • 09.12.2011 8:02 AM PDT

I would never get the opportunity at school or at work.

Pretty much. It allows us on, for example, Facebook before class time and after class time, but not during. Even in breaks, it's not allowed. BNet isn't allowed full-stop.

Yep. I am reading through stuff right now while at work.

The fires are burning, I'm fire, never tire
Slay warriors in the forests, and on hire

The only time I go onto bnet at college is to get a link to something to show a friend.

I'm at the University right now, waiting for my 10:30 AM class of COMM 1302 to start, so yes.

All my classes are at least an hour and twenty minutes and all the prof's are cool about letting us use our laptops. I usually keep my laptop focused on something class related, but there are only so many minutes you can listen to a prof. lecture before your brain fries, that's when I go on b.net during class.

  • 09.12.2011 9:01 AM PDT

At work all the time, it gets pretty boring working nights, so I stay on Bnet on the slow nights.

  • 09.12.2011 9:03 AM PDT

If you're reading this, congratulations. You've just pressed a button to find out a little bit more about me. Not that you will, but well done anyway.

Its rare for me to come onto Bungie.net whilst at work (via my phone), but it has happened.

  • 09.12.2011 9:08 AM PDT

I come on here during class a lot. not when we're supposed to be doing something else, just when the professor is saying something I already knew or something like that.
