Ah, so he couldn't beat CMP either, no wonder he didn't like it.

I am surprised that your still here complaining, I thought you left to go player easier games like pac-man or space invaders since they seem to be your type of game that you can beat without dying alot. Move on from Halo 2 and back to the other games that you like, we don't need to keep hearing your biased views of why this game sucks. We get it that you hate it, you made your point, now just move on with your life instead of ranting on.

Give me 5 things which you were not happy with in Halo 2.

1. Covenant are far too easy to kill

2. Flood are overpowered

3. Lack of instructions in game

4. Repetitive, like that mission where you have to fight 50 ghosts at once

5. Only one mission which was reasonably enjoyable, The Arbiter, but still suffered from the above problems

Totes trolling.

So after reading the thread.

You're playing it on normal and calling it too easy. Ok. You do realize on easy and normal you can walk through everything an not die right? Literally through everything.

The difference in Easy-Heroic is quite big as you can imagine but there's a big difference in Heroic-Legendary. Go try it on Legendary, I know you're bad at Halo and all but don't be scuurrd. You'll respawn, probably quite frequently and an abundance amount.

Halo 3's and Reachs campaigns were hella easy, I don't know why you think they were harder. Reach's campaign blew elephant truck too.

You said glitches don't add to gameplay? Lol wut? Go do some of the glitches in campaign, go explore out of the maps and tell me that it didn't add to your gameplay, to your enjoyment.

Halo 2 was known for its multiplayer, not for its campaign. While it brought a new type of campaign and its music was amazing, CE's was better.

You missed its multiplayer, you have no idea what you missed. You can not judge it.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Lol yes I suck at Reach but im ok at halo 3

Ok, i just played the campaign on Reach and i actually find myself agreeing with you. Even on Heroic, the elite ultras are like juggernauts, and dont get me started on elite generals.
Like I said, it's unfair.

It's as if Reach was built over Halo 2 (that doesn't mean I think Halo 2 is bad). I notice that Elites in H2 and Reach tend to move to a location from which they can shoot you if you move into cover. The Brutes in Reach have the same vulnerability as Halo 2 Brutes and they even have the helmets. Hence, why Reach was compared to Halo 2. It was meant to be like an improvement perhaps even successor.

However, the Reach Elites are even worse than Armory skull enhanced Elites in that they are very, very random and most Covies don't suffer from the timeout that players have (i.e. melee time, reload time, plasma pistol overcharge overheat time).

But the worst part is, they're not that bright. It's not common to find them standing in place and meleeing them in the back only for it not to count as assassination as he turns around and delivers a quick killing blow without showing any signs of surprise. But the even worst part is, their berserking animation. It doesn't always befit them, it doesn't convey surprise, and quite often they do it after killing you. It should be done when they're on the verge of death, not when you go close up to them.

Damn right. I can complete Cairo Station on Heroic within 15 minutes but Legendary is a whole new level of intensity.

I disagree. Reach's campaigns were easy if you fought from a long distance. Medium distance, it's a pain in the ass and it's not worth trying to fight Elites from this distance (unless it's just 1 Ultra Elite). And up close is just annoying. I liked being able to do cqc on Legendary. There's hardly any room for it in Reach, which is one of the main reasons why I'm disappointed.

Glitches do add to gameplay.

A game with no glitches is terrible. Just look at Reach. It's supposed to be 'true vision' but it just shows that Bungie were becoming spoilsports. Invisible barriers keeping us on a path just to make scripting look better. Kill boundaries are pointless because there's still invisible barriers. For example, there's a really tight kill boundary on LNoS at the pier where the Wraith is dropped off. I can't even crouch near the rocks to recharge my shields. Nor can I hide under the dock. I have to go to a small space (from which I can be shot down) or go to the other side (from which I can't do much). And even if I jump slide, I still end up colliding with an invisible barrier.

Reach was on the verge of being like CoD and all those other games that keep us in scripting. That's what makes Halo distinct from other games.

I agree that it is awesome but it's difficulty depends on how you do it.

With all skulls turned on (except Black Eye) on Legendary, one can complete the first half of The Covenant under 30 minutes. Even if you do the beach battle instead of skipping it, it's possible (of course leaving the AA Wraith alive would be best since the Banshees and lack of fuel rod gun because of the Warthog spawning would be inconvenient).

The third tower had the best battles and level design. Just look at this. Arbiter makes a good distraction while you the player can dual wield mauler and plasma pistol. And even if they take his shield down, he's not dead yet because he's takes out a sword. Also, if you give him the needler, he can home in on the cloaked Stalkers. Finally, he makes the War Chieftain easy to reach. You can also have him take out the Chieftain. See how much customization Halo 3 offers?

Also this.

Finally, The Covenant is the only Halo 3 level that has active AI (besides Arbiter) in cutscenes.

Aside from using the fuel rod gun to boost, you could also jump onto the Covie supply case from which you can do do this.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Halo 2's campaign on Solo Legendary made me want to brutally destroy the game, it was definitely the most difficult by far. Jackal Snipers and Brutes in that game made me want to kill small children.

In addition, the friendly AI is half retarded, which adds an extra layer of difficulty to the campaign.

If you ran out of BR or Carbine ammo in Halo 2, you were pretty much screwed until you could refill some of it.

I've already seen it.

If you can get a video of it, that would be very convenient because I would like to see how well they perform.

0_0 That bad?

I think it's more worse on the Covie Separatist side. You would think that having Elites and Hunters would be badass (and it is) but Bungie had to place the "right" amount of opposition... those Brute shot Brutes and that Shade turret. It's diabolical, steeping up the enemy numbers to match my powerful team. I want to see 4 Hunters on Legendary but I can only get 2-3. :(

Marines become very powerful in big numbers:

I.e. Halo 1
I.e. Halo 2
I.e. Halo 3 (1)(2)(3)

It's just that Bungie assumes that people 200+ years from now still fight dispersed so we don't get to see huge armies like in the past. :(

Not necessarily. On Arbiter levels, camo and sword make playing as Arbiter so -blam!- AWESOME!!!! :D

That's right. It's a shame the uploader didn't upload a demonstration video.

Yup, Solo Legendary is brutal in Halo 2. Anyone who did SLASO/Mythic had it exponentially worse though (save for the Envy Skull).

As a Separatist, the Arbiter at least gets camo to get to a spot so you can recover your shields better, or just recover a little right there.

Marines aren't that powerful that in numbers (probably because there's very few times where there is a good amount of Marines), but they make a decent distraction if you have enough.

Then your sword runs out. Now what?

Considering he stated to use the sword as the Arbiter, I imagine it nearly impossible to waste all your energy on either flood or brutes, AND STILL not have ammunition for the carbine or BR.

That's what I meant by camo.

They were in CE and H3.

I meant sword canceling.

There's also Grunt Birthday Party which makes it possible to kill anything unshielded with a headshot of any weapon that shoots bullets/bolts (in most cases). That includes the plasma pistol overcharge.
