When I grow up I want to be bitter and spiteful.

No avatar pics either. Admins and Forum mods get special pics that I can't have. That's just not fair!
Seriously, though, titles or no titles... whatever. They're irrelevant to me.All matters on this site are relevant! However, I will admit the relevance of the relevance could be quite trivial.

i read the entire post, and i completely agree. (and i joined in 2009 lol)What does 2009 have to do with anything?

I don't even recall making legendary. I went underway once, was normal member. Came back after a few months with legendary. Must have been a pogrom here that wiped out all the older legendary members.
Wait, fabled!? I liked intrepid better.... whatever...
Anyway, I think titles should stay. I've grown to used to and fond of them. Get on topic or I will ban you.

I agree with Duck. I've always felt this way.A mutual hatred is something to treasure.

Enough with the title talk already, they should stay, they're here for fun, nothing more.Titles never factor into my decision to read or respond to a post.
Although they probably should...out of the vast majority of threads I've read and written I rarely ever see a Legendary+ member act like a fool or troll. Regular members on the other hand...well you get my point.
Gold text is the only thing that will gain my immediate recognition. I strongly believe title factors in more than your silly points about members. However, your theory on gold text may have ground.

I'm Mythic. No one ever reads my posts. Your argument is invalid. That invalidates nothing!

I must admit that I do this and see other people doing it too. However the reason the titles are here is to show that the user is trusted so it would make sense for someone to take more notice to a more trusted member.I still cannot see why people associate titles with trust. Could you tell me your take on this?

Death, you've said this for years. We need a new complaint now. Oh wait, I've got it!
Legendary Members or Semi-Mythic MembersI don't see how this would solve anything.

I weep as I read this. Your words pour emotion from my very soul...Are you weeping soul by chance?

What about users who decide to post content such as leaks, spoilers, and or spam some irrelevant discussion topic? You wouldn't want peoples experiences to be ruined by this new feature you have wanted to see implemented for, from what I assume, quite some time.
But, seeing as the probability of choosing one of the above thread topics is in fact low at the point of irrelevancy no matter where you decide to set foot, I see no problem with implementing this. You're right, spoilers are a common complaint among users, now more than ever. I don't know of the probability, but there is an obvious logical benefit.

Personally, I only see titles as a way to increase the punishment of a ban. After awhile you get something you feel like you earned and accomplished, then you do something "wrong" in the sense of the website, and poof there it goes. Hopefully you learned your lesson. Bias users just come as apart of the package. Don't get me wrong though, the system works.
People can't learn lessons from disappear titles? How would they even disappear? Are you suggesting they are deleted or hidden?

Yeah, most people are probably biased towards reading Mythic posts, but they have good reason to be. Mythic members generally post better posts. They've usually been on the forums for years after all. Being mythic has nothing to do with this! I don't care about all these false values you keep bringing in like age! We're discussing titles here and the merit of discussion!

I completely agree, this site has become a pool of bias, distrust and stupidity.
Let us return to our roots. To the sea!
