no. Anyway, I don't see the point in "second chances". If you get a 7 day ban, than i consider that an extra chance. Sometimes I wish the mods were a bit more strict, I see too many people getting away with a light punishment. The fact that they get such a short ban, just shows how tolerant the mods are.

i remember when i first joined b.net. the mods were so much less strict. i kinda wish they'd go back to the way they were, but it's bungies forum so they can make and change the rules as much as they want.

Allthough I'd agree to your claim that they seem stuck up,

Hey! Jerk!

I am not stuck up. I'm stubborn, and at times arrogant, but I've ALWAYS been approachable. So THPtpthbptHBtpbhpt!!! (That there, is a text representation of the Raspberry sound.)

They arnt strict at all. Just follow the flippin floppin rules and you wont get banned. Seven day ban is fine poeple dont deserve a second chance at all. If you messed up its your falt. After your ban you would know not to do it again since you dont want to be banned for that seven days. God no matter how much of a good job the mods do some people jusy have to complain.

Try doing this job for a few weeks. Then see if you are as tolerant as you are now.

I'll do it, make me a mod. I bet 50$ I can make everyone like me while I still protect the forums.

I'd take that bet.

Then convince Bungie to take the bet.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I agree. A while back in some long-forgotten thread, I posted that I thought if people break rules, they get perma-banned. No exceptions... It would piss some people off, but tough -blam!-! Bungie puts sweat and blood into their games to make people enjoy them. They don't owe you any political freedoms on their public forums.

The person who first made this thread is complaining after a few months.. He shouldn't complain bungie has no obligation to please anyone.. And I think every mod here is fair. People don't need a vocal warning.. People read the terms of use. They know they don't need another warning. You don't get warnings in real life..

I think the person who started this tread is just looking for some attention. He probably has nothing to validate this complaint except for saying "my friend".

Bungie doesn't make you act weird, or your mom, or dad, or that kooky guy next door. You do. My advice? Be more careful, it happens. And when it does, and it will, imporve yourself because of it, griping and moaning gets you nowhere.

May i suggest not talking about mom's or dad's to much,it makes people upset at sometimes, just thought i'd warn you,as for the moderator's,they are ok,sometimes they go a bit to off topic and allow a little bit to much spam, but there ok,i've been banned once or twice, i never got the reasons explained, and both mods (will not mention them) did not even remembered they banned me when i asked them about it a long time back (weird). But there a ok bunch, and hopefully learn from the very few mistakes they make.

Marcus.

Well, then there must be people out there who are seething in uncontrollable in rage at Recon right about now.

So you can help improve this very large community, and make it more user friendly for everyone, some might do it for the cool user titles to,and well maybe a custom avatar, but asking to be a moderator is silly,if bungie needs moderators they will look at the community and pick.

Also yes some people may think that about Recon, but let's hope it's not to many.

Nah, we just all pretended so you'd let us play on your colecovision...

Anyhow, people really need to learn how to put things in perspective. There are far greater 'injustices' out there to get worked up about. Losing a thread or the right to post in the forums for a week is hardly the end of the world. And I think I can say with some degree of authority, if only by length of tenure, that the guys here aren't indiscriminate banning machines.

I'll bet you 50$ that I'd hand out 7-day BL's like The Joker throwing out cash during the parade in Batman, only to find that in one week there would be a "I hate HipHop" group that has more members than all the other "I hate (mod)" groups combined. On top of that, I would join said group, so that I could find repeat offenders and give them the perma-ban.

My slogan "you just got modded".
