Subject: Whats the most intresting enemy in halo that you can think of?

What on earth is a Flood drone?

I'd have to say the Brutes.

Elites

Halo 3 Mythic Conqueror #11
ODST Mythic Conqueror #2
Reach Mythic Conqueror #2
Halo: CEA Mythic Conqueror #1
Halo 4 Mythic Conqueror #1

Either Elites or the Flood. We still haven't had a good look at Elite culture yet, and I refuse to accept that their culture is based on feudal Japan practices as seen in that Halo: Legends short.

Precursors. We know next to nothing about them; other than the fact that the Forerunner were able to defeat them somehow..

(Not sure if they're an enemy, but still)

  • 09.14.2011 12:21 AM PDT

unggoy because they're coooooooooooooooooool

We know more about the Elites then any other culture in the series (minus humanity of course) and yes, it is based on Japanese culture. In fact, its always been based on it. I even think the Halo 1 instruction manual made a point of that, that they had a strict honorable warrior code.

Now the depiction of their architecture, clothing and such things are creative licensing because, well, its an anime. But other then that, no, they've always been like that.

OT: The Prmiordial.

I think the Lekgolo are by far the most interesting. A hive mind of small worms that can combine together to create unstoppable forces of death and destruction while at the same time being resistant to the flood... yah that is a worthwhile enemy in my mind.

  • 09.14.2011 4:27 AM PDT

Ad Infinitum

I think an evil Master Chief that travelled to the past from 5,000 years in the future is the most interesting enemy in Halo. Certainly more enjoyable than the "Flood"

Though they do base elites culture on the old japanese honorable warrior system which hardly exists at all today. Seriously switch on over to google and image search japan then and now. Do it go ahead I'll wait.

Their society wen from honorable hive mind conglomerate to b****es right quick.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I've got a tale that's never been told. Stick to script and handle your soul. I've got a tale that's never been, never been, never been, never been told.

Not quite an enemy, but the engineers are pretty interesting. For floating gas bags.

I'd have to say the insurgents.

It would be interesting to see why they chose separation and fought against humanity.

Tricky buggers who seem to really play on guerilla tactics and in one of the books they disabled almost all of blue team. Pretty sweet.

The Flood is not going to be the enemy. 343 knows better.

"War is the science of destruction."

343 Gulity spark, you didn't expect it, which I found intresting.

I also like the thought of Precursors as enemies (not sure why). But as the most advanced race, they would be a more-than-worthy opponent.

Also, I wanna see what the hell they look like, the description in the books was pretty weird -__-

Sorry, but there really is little option for anything else.

The Forerunners? They're in deep sorrow over what they did, they wouldn't dare try anything again; they're also our likely allies.

And they'd be beyond overpowered for us to fight.

The Precurors Race? Again, beyond overpowered. And there is only one Precursor left it would seem, making him at least the main villain in the similar vein as Truth.

We're humanity's last hope and the Covenant are powerless, so neither humanity or Covenant as a primary enemy. So unless 343i will shoehorn another race in (a bull -blam!- move) without warning, the Flood must be the enemy.

But this is a good thing, both canonically and for gameplay. Flood biology means we can be fighting any infinite number if varying forms. Its a simple matter of turning the Flood from space zombie enemy into intelligent army enemy, which the Flood is perfectly suited for.

'

They were enemies. After the Precursor-Hydra war their population was harshly decreased. When they encountered the Forerunners they fought for land. In the end Precursors gave their technology to the Forerunner's and perished.
