Subject: Question about the Nameplate/WLID

Hello, I've recently become bored with my collection of games since I have most of the Achievements for them. I decided to come up with the idea that I'll restart from scratch. I plan on using the same WLID and the same Gamertag as before, basically just starting back at 0 GS.

My question is, will the Halo 2 Nameplate be available to me through my WLID, or will I not be able to use it. I'm asking because I'm basically a completionist, and not having that one will bug the crap out of me since I have all of them on my current Gamertag

You've played it, its connected to your gamertag. You are wiping your gamer score not your entire career.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

I'm not sure, and I may be wrong, but I think that the nameplates are based off of your game history here on B.net, so you should still have your Halo 2 nameplate.

I'd have to change my current GT (EchoX860) and WLID (@Live.com) to something different.

Then make a a new GT with the same name as my current one and WLID to begin again

Then you would be using a brand new gamertag, not the current one. Since it isn't the same account you probably wouldn't get to keep your nameplate.

All stored information about your account, Halo 2 nameplate included, is attached to your Live account, not your Gamertag. The persistence of a Live account is not dependent on the account e-mail address or Gamertag or any other factor that you can see. Those factors can be changed and the account still maintains everything that was attached to it before the change.

If what you were suggesting was possible, if you forfeited your tag, someone else who happened to choose that same tag later would inherit your unlocks. That doesn't happen.
