Death to rank junkies.

Because trolls on both sides will create a flame war.

I see you are a christian. I believe its actually the other way around. Because you guys love to shove your religion down peoples throats. Look at the crusades. Templars massacred hundreds of people because they didnt believe in christianity.

Please calm yourself. Your hypocrisy is showing.

Hypocrisy? How do you figure? How many wars waged in the name of logic, reason, and science have there been?

How am I being a hypocrit?

Because it's against the rules and any arguments with theists end up turning into flame wars.

4. Don't give me that Bungie quote that says "You have no rights", Bungie is a US based company. We do have rights.

Not so. It's their website, so they can set whatever rules they like and ban you for no reason should they wish to.
They STILL have to abide by rules themselves. What do you think would happen if they put dirty pictures of children on their site? They would go to jail.

They have rules they have to follow. Their rules do not come before the US governments rules(the country in which they formed).

OK. But let's say I own a house, you want to come into my house, I will only let you in my house if you promise not to talk about religion and sign an agreement that says the same. You talk about religion and I kick you out. What laws have I violated?

  • 09.14.2011 1:49 PM PDT

Hey, now!

This is officially either the greatest or worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars. I'm going with the former.

4. Don't give me that Bungie quote that says "You have no rights", Bungie is a US based company with PUBLIC forums. Regardless of any Policy, Terms of Service, or Code of Conduct, we do have rights. When they make these terms and conditions they have to abide by the US constitution. Bungie's rules(considering Bungie is a US based company) don't override the US constitution. Saying you can't talk about religion is illegal.

And, this better not get locked or get me banned. I'm not posting my beliefs(even though I think I should be able to), I'm simply asking why we're not allowed.

No, they don't.
Bungie is a PRIVATE company.
You notice how you have to sign up to use the forums?
You are agreeing to abide by the rules of the website.
And one of those rules is no religious discussion.

Bungie makes the rules on this website. Not the US gov.

Abide by them, or leave.

And that my good friend is how you start a flame war!

Just as an example of why religious talk is banned.

But as a reply I wouldn't hold the crusades against any Christian because to be fair no one is really like that any more. Mostly because the only countries capable of it are turning away from religion more and more and the 3rd world countries adopting it as a way of developing. Needless to say the Church can more than support these people with the hundreds of millions of pounds they generate.

And how many means of destruction has it created for wars to be fought with? Sorry, but measuring the amounts of victims of the opposing side does not prove someone wrong.

If a "flame war" started in real life what legal actions would come of it?

Cop walks up... "So, what seems to be the problem"

Guy 1... "He said there's no such thing as God"

Guy 2... "Well he is dumb and thinks there is a God"

Cop... "There's nothing I can do, you both have the right to say that, have a good day gentlemen."

I'm not saying it does. High Coin said that wars fought in the name of religion have had many casualties. JJAB claimed he was being hypocritical. I'm merely asking how many wars have been fought in the name of things opposite of religion [logic, reason, and science] that would assert that High Coin is a hypocrite.

None, if it's your house. But, this is a PUBLIC place. Anyone can go to it. It's like a restaurant, because it's public they can't set forth such policies. Sure, they own the restaurant, but they're making it available to EVERYONE, thus can not create rules that go against certain rights.

I do like your response though, it makes for good debate.

I entirely disagree. If someone is going to call someone a hypocrite, they should have a legitimate reason.

Healthy Debate, Religion, The Flood.

Three phrases that will never ever ever never ever never never ever never neverer ever make sense in the same sentence. Not even if you put something like "The Flood can never have any kind of Healthy debate when it involves religion" because that just doesn't make sense. Those three phrases cannot possibly be comprehended together in the same sentence so don't even try.

Honestly, i'm pretty sure this is a troll thread and somebody should have already pointed out to you that you gotta follow Bungie's rules when you make your account and you hit "I agree" when you signed up so you really can't claim any first amendment rights here.

Bungie is a private organisation.

You agreed to their rules when you signed up.
Private game development studio, PUBLIC forums. When you sign up for Bungie.net you're not joining their company. If so, with the type of company they are(where ownership is split among all workers), we would own our own share of Bungie. And, they would owe us money.

Public forum, bro.

No, it's not. This is the website of a private company. You agreed to abide by their rules when you signed up.

Posting and being a member of Bungie.net is a privelege, not a right.

Well of course, someone should be able to back his claims, but bickering about it further isn't getting any party closer to an answer.
