Bungie has always been innovative with its halo titles, and i was thinking that with the way technology is advancing, will there be a truly next gen halo. I was thinking that with the next xbox console, there could be better multiplayer support, such as 64 player big team battle or larger vehicles such as pelicans available within multiplayer as an operational vehicle. It may even have destructable enviornments for we know. I just hope 343 makes the right decision. i think it would bring halo to the next level.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Only time will tell.

64 player multiplayer will only come with better network infrastructure, not the next xbox. There's the one component of performance (actually running the larger game) but there's another much bigger one in making it playable with the god-aweful connections people are forced to run because they aren't so blessed with freely available fiber.

You can power up the machine all you like, but if it still has to squeeze data through a tiny pipe that won't amount to much besides fancier graphics and maybe an additional physics engine or two.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I loved Halo, now I'm not really into it. I guess Bungie was the glue, and I ripped off with it.

I'm guessing if Halo 4 doesn't introduce the next Xbox one of the remaining new trilogy games will.

It's just been so long without a new console, one of the longest periods in console history and we're really seeing the limits of what current generations consoles can handle.

Add to that the fact PC's are now creating a larger gap in performance than previous years and it's all leading to a new console generation very soon.

Personally I see Halo and a new xbox console within the next 12-24 months. More likely with halo 4, which is why we haven't seen an in-game graphics at all...

It would be too easy to pickup a new console graphics standard in a demo...

True and possibly, though I guess my original post was really wishful thinking.

I think bungie wants to stay with their original gameplay just add better graphics, different affects, different multiplayer options, ect. What you are saying sounds a lot like a halo-battlefield mix and although that would be really fun I I don't think bungie is going to do it.
