I wanted to spend a few days watching some new anime dvds I purchased from the now defunct SunCoast in my room, so I unhooked my xbox from my living room tv and connected it in my room. After a while I, I felt like playing something, so I chose Halo CE just for the hell of it.
Note: It's been like around 4 months since I've touched the game probably before the day I got Halo 2.
So noticed I had beaten Halo CE on heroic on every level and legendary on the last level (The Maw). So I decided that I would try to beat each level on all the difficulties I didn't beat it at. At first, the gameplay felt really downsized and outdated probably because I have played Halo 2 so much. But after a while I was having the time of my life. It was like heaven all over again.
I've read that most players who have played Halo 2 for so long that attempt to play Halo CE feel not at place. Well, I felt right at home. Everything from the health bar, the 1337 Pistol, the Assault Rifle, the shotgun, and needler. To tell you the truth, Halo CE and Halo 2 are two totally different games. It was like this when Halo 2 first came out, too many would try to compare the two and put Halo 2 down, but eventually all those people converted and now they feel the opposite, but I don't feel this way anymore.
What made me a novice Bungie fan in the first place was getting a Xbox and Halo CE, this weekend I'm planning to have one of those hundreds of Halo CE lan parties my friends and I used to have before getting Halo 2. The point of me telling you all this? I guess from a novice point of view, don't forget past good times and try to be open minded when something you've loved playing for so long gets a sequel that is mainly a whole different game... and some more gobble goo heh. Anyways, gotta go to class. See you all later.
