Fada beo Halo 2!

This is a post toward the ten, but I really think on easy and normal you're just running it through, with the exception of the Banshee run.

because once my thread gets 10 posts, I'll yell everyone how to finish the great journey on legendary while keeping the weapons you start with, not firing a single shot from them and not meeting an enemy.

11th, now let's hear how you did it.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

here goes, ignore the spectre and proceed to the first group of brutes in ghosts on the other side of the rocks. immediately activate camo before they see you, jack his ghost, kill him then exit the ghost. now play the level as you'd normally play it but make sure that ghost stays where it is, before entering the structure where the elite says: "the arbiter? i thought you were dead, hold your fire! the hunters..." go back and get the ghost. drive it to the structure.

you all probably know doors wont open when you're on a vehicle so quickly exit the vehicle and re-enter it again to cancel the action (the moment you click x in a vehicle, the action for exiting it counts as not being in it in the console so you tricked the door into opening) drive to the chamber before fighting the 4 brutes on top (one's on a turret) click x, turn camo on and quickly get back in the ghost. proceed through the door and get to the right diagonal path which takes you too the top level as quick as you can (the brutes dont attack you when you have camo, even when you're on a vehicle, unfortunately bungie put a stop to this in H3 to stop players from technically taking advantage of the enemy).

stay on the diagonal path at distance where the columns block the brutes line of sight from you and wait till camo recharges.

i'll post the rest tomorrow

You got stuck by FalconStickr

Doesn't HSH have zero shot runs for all Halo's? I could be wrong.

why tomorrow? did you forget it?

nah i went to sleep. ok let the hunters battle the brutes until your camo recharges, when it does go up and splatter as much brutes as you can (when i did it the hunters took care of the turret, if its not destroyed, you're gonna have a problem).

proceed through the door to the cavern, killing the brute on the turret will take about a minute because you have to keep appearing in his line of sight, quickly shoot at him then return to cover to avoid his return fire, eventually he will die. splatter the 3 brutes who come to his aid. get of the ghost and activate your camo, get back in while behind the covenant crates (the brutes right on the other side are fighting the hunters unless they already killed them) this part you can just boost past the hostiles to the door. you get a checkpoint while in the chamber.

when you come out, there's a bridge connecting to the other side of the building, outside you can see the control room on your left, this is the part the phantom comes to help the jackals and grunts kill you.

post the rest later, gonna use the bathroom

Can you clarify? What exactly causes Covies not to spawn and at what point (after the Scarab cutscene or before it)?

you can do it by skipping checkpoints, or overloading the map.

Got a video? I'm unfamiliar with most Halo 2 glitches.

skip to 3:30. instead of going across the bridge he up and over the hill and skipped a checkpoint, the enemies didn't spawn until he got that point.

^ i didnt use any skulls or glitches to finish the level as opposed to the previous replies.

turn on camo and go to the right side of the bridge, take cove behind the covenant crate, your camo should run out some time near now so kill the jackals behind, beware pf that sniper jackal on the ledge, while your behind the centre ledge, dont worry about the phantom, it cant get you. once the jackals behind your are dead kill the sniper, now drones will come out of the next chamber, they will take a while to kill because you have to keep coming out of and going back into cover when killing them but once they're dead proceed through the chamber.

^ keep in mind that last part was quite challenging because of that jackal sniper, killed me about 15 times so you'll have to redo this bit often until you figure our the best strategy.

before exiting the chamber the track impend (skip to 0:45) will start playing. you're now at the first flor of a 2 story room, a covenant weapon supply is facing you up the ledge with carbines, needlers and a sword. on the opposite side of the room is the hall with detention cells on the walls.
2 councilors and 2 hunters are held captive by a squad of brutes. jackals are patroling the 2nd level of the hall.

when i got up to this part i tried to do it rambo style by just charging in and splattering as many brutes as possible but kept failing so i tried another approach, enter the enemies line of sight, fire a few bolts and quickly get back into cover to avoid their brute shots, this will take a WHILE because to ensure your safety, only a minimum amount of damage can be delt at a time, when i did it the jackals eventually entered my chamber as i killed the brutes so just ram them over when you see them. once the first squad is dead shoot down the projecter on the hunters cell to let them kill the 2nd squad. once they've killed them proceed through the next chamber. you should get a checkpoint, the final door leads outside the structure, you should see a few covenant crates, brutes and 2 marines. ram the first brute your see, now it will get a little bit tricky because the brutes saw you kill the one near the door so they're prepared for you, there will be alot of jumping around as you try to ram them, when your heath is low, boost to the right side of the building and remain out of site until your shields recharge and continue to kill the brutes.

(i had alot of fun at this part so i purposely killed myself when i killed all the brutes to do it again)

-cutscene-

gonna eat, post the rest later (not long to go)

Well that's not exactly what I had in mind. But thanks for the link. I needed to get Envy. Is it possible to get a checkpoint right before the skull or is it given randomly?

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

now just play it normally: kill the 3 wraiths, kill the banshees, spectres and turrets in th canyons then the 2 wraiths and banshees at the beach. bring your banshee inside the control room, boost past the brutes

-cutscene-

go back and get your banshee then kill tartarus with it.

congratulations, you have now finished the great journey on legendary while keeping the weapons you started with, not firing a single shot from them, not using any grenades + not using melee at all.
