Subject: Who among noble team, had the most noble death

Who among noble team, had the most noble death(by noble, I mean selfless)

For me it would have to be........Jorge.

He gave his life to save hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. It is a shame his death was met with more supercarriers and various covenant.

So who among noble team do you think had the most noble death?

"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart."

Six.

Asking "which death was the most noble" among a group of people who sacrificed themselves for their species kind of ruins the point of them doing it. Turns their deaths into a -blam!- measuring contest.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

They're also fictional and Kat died like a dog. So lighten up.

I'd give it to Jun.

I am a monument to all your sins.

I'd have to say the Moa had the most noble death.

Would you say he had a Moa noble death than the rest of Noble?

Love. Honor. Tru7h.

Stuck between Six and Emile, because they were both willing to stay behind and give Keyes covering fire, but Emile got killed before he could do so, and then Six had to jump on that grenade. However, they all had very good deaths, and I was sad to see them all go down.

R.I.P. Jorge, Kat, Carter, Emile, and Noble Six.

... and no, Jun did not die.

  • 09.16.2011 3:10 PM PDT

its gotta be between carter and jorge surely.

  • 09.16.2011 3:18 PM PDT

Hey, now!

This is officially either the greatest or worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars. I'm going with the former.

No, it's not. And don't call me Shirley.

I'm feel the same way. Emile and 6 had the most impact on me, followed by Jorge's, and then Carter, then Kat.

while yes its true that Jorge did think he saved reach by blowing the -blam!- out of that super carrier ,he could have told a grunt they would win the war if they pushed that button when they left ...jk lol but out of noble team i think carter should have jumped out at the last second and Emile shouldn't have been so cocky to not notice that elite behind him so my vote goes to noble 6 for succeeding where others could not ,may he rest in peace ,but personally i think hes to stubborn to die...

  • 09.16.2011 3:22 PM PDT

six because he knew when he didnt get on the pelican that he would die. he faced it fearlessly and saved humanity by his actions. btw check out my forge map ONI HQ tower it is a tower as tall as forge world and has rooms full of cool stuff.

#1 is best, #6 is worst.
Now lets see...
#2 Jorge blew up a corvette-class and suuper covenant ship and saved millions of lives.
#6 Kat fails, she gets shot with a needle rifle through the head. Not a very noble death.
#4 Jun escorted Halsey to lord knows where. But he probably commited suicide because Halsey was being annoying, which is understandable.
#3 Carter crashed his pelican into a scarab so Noble six could deliver the package. Good job.
#5 Emile dies in combat, an energy sword through his chest. If he's so noble, then he wouldn't die from a single elite. (Also, he uses the shotgun like sniper rifle.)
#1 Six was awsome. He was overrun by elites after Reach fell to the covenant. He was the last one left on Reach. But he refused to go down without a fight. He defiantly had the most nnoble death.

and "pro" is a term used for people who make money at what they do like a professional baseball player like albert pujols

i <3 science cookies

In order from least noble to most noble.
Kat-could that have been more pathetic?

Carter-he had already been fatally wounded and was like "oh well, might as well go out with a bang."

Jorge-What a fool to think he saved millions of lives. But it's very nice of him to try so he goes above Carter.

Emile-Yeah it was pretty epic the way he took the two elites out but it was pathetic he allowed them too get close like that. He only gets points because he managed to take out the elite that stabbed him.

Noble 6- Stayed behind so the package could be delivered successfully. Then took all of the covenant she could.

Jun-Jun wins because he guarded Halsey alone. She is annoying but she is also one of humanities last hopes with her brilliant mind. He had the biggest impact.

I am a monument to all your good deeds.

Im going to go with either carter or six. but did jun even die.

  • 09.25.2011 6:06 PM PDT

I am the best thing that ever happened to you

Well I don't know who had the most noble death, but I know who had the least, Kat. Yay. I hate that -blam!-. Even Bungie hated her.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Kat's death my have no been the most noble death, but it was definantly the most emotional out of the whole series.

No last breath speeches like Johnson. Just alive one second, dead the next. The first time I saw Kat die, my heart skipped a beat. Even though Kat wasent my favorite member, her death is the one that had the biggest effect on me, mostly because of how splendidly it was done. The music, Kat just hitting the ground and the desperation of Noble Team trying to kill the Field Marshall, and trying to take in what had just happened. And adding to that the glassing of New Alexandria, a city Noble tried to defend as best they could, but in the end could do nothing to avoid the unavoidable. It adds that sense that ''how could things possibly get any worse''.

Her death was the best IMO.

But the most noble death would go to Carter, IMO. Emile died mostly because of his ego getting the best of him and allowing himself to get stabbed. And Jorge, while close to Six's, was not as noble as Carters.

Jorge was from Reach and one of them had to stay and pull the detonator. It could have been Six, but it was only natural that Jorge, being from Reach, would be the one to sacrifice himself for his homeworld.

Well, since majority of Noble Team had no character development or whatever; they were meaningless death which I do not care for it. Only meaningful death is Jorge.

No last breath speeches like Johnson. Just alive one second, dead the next. I have to agree, Kat's death gets less credit than it deserves. She was, in my opinion, the most cold and calculated member of Noble team, you could almost say the most emotionally tough. Her death, not legendary, not fighting to the end à la Custer, shows that even a Spartan is still human, weak and fragile. Her death was intentionally unspectacular and for Kat's character it really does make a point.

That being said my personal favourite is Jorge's. Carter was gravely injured when he crashed his Pelican, Emile went down fighting which would have been what he wanted IMO. Jorge had a choice, he could have let Six dtay behind, or try to detonate the bomb another way. He also died in space with only a handful of people aware that he was even there to begin with. That to me says his is the most selfless death.

Can we stop this BS please, i'm sick of all the sheep jumping on the bandwagon saying there was no character development, if you think that please go study some literature and get some perspective. These people have been ripped away from their homes at a very early age, genetically altered, been through rigorous military training, seen combat against fellow humans and now their planet is under siege by a technologically superior alien alliance. So Goddamn sorry if they don't sit around talking about their likes/dislikes and create a lovely happy fluffy bunny picture for you.
For anyone else who thinks they have no character, learn to read between the lines, think outside the box, look past the damn obvious.

Why does everyone seem to think Jun isn't dead? I know they don't show him die, but it's been discussed on multiple threads now and no one ever seems the wiser. Shortly before or after the game was released, TOR re-released "The Fall of Reach" with new cover art and a few short stories in the back of the book. One such short story is told from the perspective of Thel Vadamee (the Arbiter). Here, it tells of how Thel was chasing two humans (a Demon and a high ranking civilian). The demon (Jun) holds off the Covenant long enough for the civilian (Dr. Halsey) to escape, ultimately sacrificing himself. Jun is dead, and my vote goes to him.
