I'm trying to figure out the K.E. of each round.

K.E.=1/2mv^2

If you plug the numbers in.....

K.E.=1/2 x 2g(.21 caliber) x 15,000^2

This comes out to be 225Mj.

For some reason this does not seem correct.

Even with a mass of 0.7g it still comes out to about 79Mj. If so, the M99 Stanchion is more powerful than current proto-type railguns intended for naval ships(64Mj).

The units of mass should be in kilograms, not grams.

I took the liberty of converting everything anyways. if you use grams and m/s like I did it will come out in joules. I just converted it to Megajoules.

You can't use grams, you need to convert to kilograms. 1 Joule = kg*m^2/s^2

(1/2).002 kg*(15,000 m/s)^2 = 225 kJ

Ok, I see. So the power range is anywhere from 79kJ-225kJ depending on the weight of the .21 caliber in question, due to possibly different materials and lack of a cartridge.
