Subject: Something I just don't get about our community...

I guess Bungie needs to make a perfect game satisfies every single person here on B.net. Shouldn't be too hard.

Nothing wrong with shooting for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the Stars.

why try to force your opinion voiced by a minority upon the majority?
*cough* black rights *cough*

yeah, I always get it kick out of this, especially when you look at their profile, and they play Reach every night and have a super high rank

I don't think it's a case of just our community. People use the interwebs to vent and argue. It really only sucks when people don't have the ability or motivation to express their opinions in a civilized manner.

ISU Cyclones!

I didn't know Crimson took such a beating on the forums. Just a quick glance seems like the problem has been a very, very small minority being very, very bitter to Bungie about Reach.

It only takes like 100 really dedicated haters to troll the forums with constant new accounts.

Glad Bungie jumped off of Halo by now. It seems after 3 games you hit a point where enough people have claimed an older game as, "The best ever" that any changes you make will be received with complete hate.

Or, Reach really is bollocks.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

The thing I didn't like about Reach was how it broke canon time and time again, I still can't believe they did that. Other then that the game was great. Besides that some people hated Halo2 some people hated Halo3 and some people hate ODST, this will continue on and on until Halo ends.

[Announcement Trailer] Halo: Forerunner

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

if you hate Bungie and have nothing to contribute to this site's community, then why stay? To tell loyal Bungie fans how bad Bungie is? What's the point, why try to force your opinion voiced by a minority upon the majority?

I still don't even know why people think Reach is so bad, if you don't like it and want to play a shooter, then why not go play Call of Duty or Battlefield and bash Halo and Bungie with those guys on their forums?
There is so much wrong with this I don't even know where to begin.

I don't mean this to be rude but grow up; not in the sense of physically getting older but of actually experiencing more meaningful interactions with people, because there is no way someone with a modicum of insight could ask these questions and come to these conclusions.

The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

ooga booga boooh

I guess it's for the same reason people come here to praise Bungie: We all want our opinions to be heard. And they are just that, opinions.

Pretty sure the forums are for feedback, it doesn't all have to be positive.

I run Skirmish!!!

This has been going on for awhile now... Forums won't always contain positive posts and people will go and give their opinion about a game..as long as they give a reason as to why they dislike reach, i don't see the problem

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

People bashed Reach because it was different. People expected Halo 3.5, and they got something else. The gameplay in Reach is completely different than that in Halo 3, because Bungie purposely changed some of the fundamentals, like introducing armor abilities that upset map control.

The people expecting Halo 3.5 were angered that Bungie had changed so much in this Halo game, and this is where they chose to vent their anger.

...Or Reach is legitimately plagued by several poor design decisions which prevent it from achieving it's true potential. Yes, games must evolve over time if they wish to stay alive, but such a need for change does not excuse poorly implemented ideas and mechanics.

It has little to do with the previous Halo Games. People were expecting a Bungie game, and while the engineering side of Reach is fantastic, the actual gameplay left much to be desired.

It's not the negative feedback that is bad, it's the bandwagon hate and general lack of opinion. If you dislike Reach for your own reasons, good for you. If you dislike Reach because lots of other people do, then shame on you. I find nowadays a significant amount of people are too lazy to formulate their own opinion. They take the opinion of the majority and label everybody else as "hipsters".
