Main GT, now permanently banned: DISORDERRRRRRRR
Before you gamestalk me, my H3 Exp is boosted because I'm not playing 5000 games again like I did on my main account for my 5 star. I AFKed and Grif boosted wtih supers0ak to get to Inheritor since I'm impatient when it comes to processional ranks. Nothing in Reach shows skill unless you play with the person anyways.

Long-range Sniping is for -blam!-. Close-range sniping is what is fun.

Anyone can use a sniper at range effively, but it takes a whole lot more skill to use them in smaller maps. At least it creates some skill gap that better players can use to beat noobs like you OP

is that so? because the sniper in reach has so much autoaim involved with it, and the hitboxes for headshots are so large, that it seems that it can be used in both circumstances quite easily.

so then why should we confine people to use a LONG range weapon on a small map. and yeah, OP is definitely a noob because he voiced his opinion. good one; youre a class act arent you?

Sometimes I wonder if people who play Halo know how sniper and marksman rifles are supposed to actually work.

I mean, I know a video game is nothing like real life, but c'mon.

Snipers on big maps SUCKS. Whenever I get a kill, I'm like, "eh, that was kinda fun, but I was so far away that my enemy had virtually no way of avoiding death." And when I die, I'm like, "that guy was so far away! He was practically invisible! How am I supposed kill someone that I can't possibly see?"

In short, it turns the game into [two players scan the map, and the luckier player who sees his enemy first gets the kill]

exactly why I hate BTB Snipers.

It shouldn't have anything to do with luck at all, and the scenario described isn't luck-dependent. The goal of long-range sniping is to have better stealth, better sights, and better reaction time than your enemy. If you got sniped it's because your spot wasn't good enough.

Get a nice kill on someone? Move! As soon as you fire one shot, your position is pretty much compromised. If you got the kill, awesome, if not, move on and catch them while they're still trying to exactly find where you WERE.
