The other day I stumbled upon a news article on Yahoo.com talking about some mysterious structures in the middle-east. The text of the article didn't catch my eye so much as the images that were included. I cant give a link the article, but I can give you a link to the images.

Now, you may be wondering what this has to do with any of Bungies' masterfully crafted universes. I anwer with yet another link: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Unidentified_Forerunner_Planet
The above mentioned stone circles may not have anything to do with the Halo universe, but I found it quite interesting that both the halo glyph and the stone circles on earth share very similar shapes and they are designed to be seen from high altitude. It dos seem that they came from similar origins. With all of that said I don't have any speculations as to the significance of such a find other than maybe whoever designed the planet for Halo: Legends got the idea from the stone circles.

"A LIE is a LIE"

- Truly intelligent and deep Black ops trailer

It's a nice attempt; but in all honesty and in my opinion the only similarity between the wiki pic and those photos is they are both round.

I'm not saying that they look like the glyph on the planet. It just stuck me as odd that the stone circles have a circular, glyph like shape and that they are designed to be seen from above. Maybe I'm just a crazy Halo nerd that needs urgent mental care.
